Weltwirtschaft am HKW is a vibrant cultural hotspot located within the Heizkraftwerk (HKW) in Berlin. This unique venue combines industrial charm with a dynamic program of events, including art exhibitions, concerts, and discussions focused on global economic and social issues. The space itself is impressive, retaining the raw, industrial architecture of the former power plant, which creates an inspiring atmosphere for creativity and dialogue. Visitors appreciate the thought-provoking exhibitions and the opportunity to engage with contemporary topics in an accessible way. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience. While the location is somewhat off the typical tourist path, it’s well worth the visit for anyone interested in art, culture, and global affairs. Whether you’re attending a lecture or simply exploring the space, Weltwirtschaft am HKW offers a unique blend of history, culture, and education that leaves a...
Read moreAfter being asked: In my opinion, I got attended by an extremely rude waiter(Dressed in black, short/balding hair), who informed us rather angrily that his coworker, the front woman, had made a mistake and that the tables we intended to occupy in the outside restaurant area were reserved and to move to the "Biergarten" area. The food was decent, considering the location...

The waiters are relaxed. Some of them are quite new to the job but I guess that's because everything just opened up again.
Please mind: the serviced area offers almost no shadow during the late afternoon. But as the Terrasse is facing to the west you'll have quite a nice sunset and long sun hours.
That place is nice to have a short break ore meet with a couple of friends for a few hours. Guests are more tourists and/or conservative.
You may book your table vie...
