I had a disappointing experience here. While reading the beer menu, I chose a foreign beer I’d never tried before. The staff member confirmed the name with me and brought the bottle from the fridge. From a distance, she held it up to confirm it was the one I wanted. I motioned for her to come closer and gently reached toward the bottle, hoping to hold it briefly so I could read the label more clearly, since the menu had no tasting notes. At that moment, she pulled the bottle back abruptly and gave me a disapproving look, as if I had done something wrong. Her reaction made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I immediately let her know I wasn’t interested in ordering anymore and returned the menu. I left without ordering, as I don’t support this kind of treatment...

I came here with my Dutch colleagues, to show them the amazing alternative Berlin pub scene... it wasn’t crowded, no stress, nothing... we did sit down, showed our vaccination code... one of our Dutch guys made a little joke about why he didn’t had a real scanner... the waiter completely overreacted, that he didn’t like this jokes and he did set us out of the streets... I even tried in German to explain the funny way Dutch people like to behave, no understanding... I am completely flabbergasted... what happend? Me and two friends were asked to leave Saturday at 18 when the bar was completely empty. The reason was my perfume 🫠. Apparently the person coming to take the next shift in an hour was allergic to smells and perfume was a problem or so we were told by the bar tender at the time. Just wondering if this is true… how do u control this at a bar? Are u smelling people before they come in and kicking out those who wear perfume? Seems quite unlikely and bizarre. The man at the bar also had a problem with us speaking in English and not German… so seems to me like he was being a big xenophobe. Yep never...
