Yogi Snack — Restaurant in Berlin

The food was great and prices were very affordable — both for the meals and the drinks. No complaints there. But the way the payment situation was handled completely ruined the experience.

First of all, nowhere did it say they don’t accept card payments. In a major city like Berlin, in 2025, that’s honestly ridiculous. No signs, no heads-up from the staff — nothing. We were completely caught off guard. None of us had cash, and there was no way nearby to withdraw money contactlessly.

To make matters worse, the staff acted annoyed with us — as if it was our fault they didn’t have a working payment system. No help, no solutions — just attitude.

Then came the most absurd part: we were told to go pay at a different restaurant next door. Let that sink in. A completely different place handled the bill. That’s not just unprofessional — it’s sketchy.

On top of all that, the atmosphere wasn’t exactly pleasant. Other guests were extremely loud, clearly very drunk, and showed no respect for anyone around them. One of them repeatedly pushed my friend in the back while we were eating — and no one from the staff did anything about it.

So yeah — decent food and cheap drinks, but absolutely not worth the hassle, disrespect, and chaos. I would never go back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you enjoy bad service, drunk people, and having to walk around the block just to...

We just had the most insane experience here; me and my boyfriend were sitting at our table outside, receiving threatening looks from the waiter. He then came to our table and demanded that we order something, which we did, by ordering two drinks. He demanded that I pay upfront. I told him, that we also wanted to eat something and would rather pay at the end or after we had ordered everything. He said something like “oh really” in a mean voice and after something that felt like 45 seconds he was at our table again, demanding that we order everything at once. After my boyfriend told him that we’re still looking for the main course, he grabbed the menu out of my hand and told us to go away. I’m in deep shock, this has never happened to us before. After what I’m reading in the other comments, I really think this business should stop operating. I’m feeling sorry for your future customers who will have to deal with your rudeness and stealing. Not returning the change? Really? Physically attacking a colleague? Stay safe people and stay away...

Had been to this restaurant to have snacks and had ordered mixed pakoras and samosas. Mixed pakora was alright, but was the presentation was weird as it was dipped in sauce, which meant it wouldn't be crispy for more than a minute. But the taste was good so it was okay. But, the samosas were THE WORST I've ever tasted in my entire life. The filling was sticky, smelly and tasted spoilt. After billing when I told the waiter about the same, he shrugged it off as if we were in the wrong as we suggested there might be something wrong with their food. Even after we told him that the filling was spoilt, he didn't seem to pass the message along to the kitchen, and don't think they replaced it either. I'm sorry for the folks who are tasting Indian food for the first time and then eating a samosa here thinking that's how it's supposed to taste like.
