Unfortunately the worst pizza experience in my life (so far). My first 1-star review. Short version: 1. Bad service 2. Bad pizza 3. There are other places in Berlin to try excellent Italian pizza with much less hassle. Avoid this one! Detailed version: Part 1. There is no possibility to book for 2 people so we arrived at 8.30pm and we queued for 15 minutes before they tell us to wait about 30 minutes to get a sit (which is ok - done that before). After 30 minutes waiting downstairs in the waiting room, we were the only one left there and we waited 10 more minutes, after which we got suspicious that they had forgotten us; so we went upstairs and magically the girl said: "oh, you came just at the right time". Great, it was 9.30pm. Part 2. At 9.45pm we ordered a Bufalina and a Zola (curious to try pear on a pizza). The waiting starts again, until we see the table next to us getting their 5 pizzas. All good, except for the fact that they had arrived at the restaurant 1hour and 30minutes after us!!! So we stop the waitress and complain. The waitress realises they lost our order. No "sorry" but just "1 pizza is on the house", like I came there to get a free pizza... Part 3. It's 10.15pm (1 hour and 45 minutes after we arrived to Zola) the 2 pizzas come: I was actually excited and, of course, hungry. This was the moment for Zola to gain points back but...my Zola pizza had no gorgonZOLA. Despite the picture I attached to this review didn't come out well, you can see there is no sign of blue cheese in there. Pear without gorgonzola resulted in a sweet pizza. Not that good. I ate it all just because I respect food, more than the waitress of Zola respected us. In fact, when we finally went to pay and told that the pizza had no gorgonzola, she missed once again the opportunity to apologise but started making some stupid jokes about "putting the pizzaioli in penitentiary for having made a mistake". Part 4. 10.45pm we got out of the restaurant f***ing pissed. Goodbye Zola 👋

Located in the vibrant Kreuzberg neighborhood, Zola is a hidden gem for pizza lovers. The moment I entered, I was captivated by the inviting ambiance and friendly staff. The restaurant's proximity to the canal adds to its great atmosphere. Zola specializes in Napoletana-style pizza, and they truly excel in their craft. The thin and perfectly cooked crust serves as a delightful canvas for the flavorful toppings. During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying their Vegetariana, Bufalina, and Zola pizza styles. The Vegetariana pizza was a fresh medley of capsicum, artichokes and olives bursting with flavor. The Bufalina pizza, with its creamy buffalo mozzarella, provided a rich and indulgent experience. The Zola pizza style showcased the chef's creativity, offering a unique and harmonious blend of ingredients like pear and walnuts. The decor at Zola is funky and unique, creating a visually appealing atmosphere. However, it's important to note that Zola only accepts cash payments, which may be a slight inconvenience for some. In conclusion, Zola Pizzeria in Kreuzberg is a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts. With its inviting ambiance, friendly staff, and mouthwatering Napoletana-style pizzas, it guarantees a memorable dining experience. The canal-side location and funky decor add an extra touch of charm. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in Zola's fantastic pizzas, but remember to bring cash for payment.

I had to change my review, long time and big fan which came super regular here... But the past years they cut the quality more and more down using cheaper flour, just dry yeast, short fermentation process, bad Pizzaiolo (these Infos I got from an insider). At least it was kinda still tasty but now every time is Russian roulette: burnt outside, burnt on the downside, inside sometimes barely molten cheese, the heat is so high of ithe oven it burns everything on the edges and underneath but leaves the center almost untouched... Not to talk that the taste isn't as good as it was since the quality of tehe ingredients also dropped. Now the crust is completely different on the edges (if your lucky and its nit super burnt - yeah a little is fine, but having 80% not - also I don't wanna force to get cancer, you can even see the differences on the Fotos here) but today and also my last time it was no fluff at all looked and tasted like a scrappy pizza which I would never call Neapoletana. About the service: was always one of the most attitude waiters with with rarely greeting you, you had to run after them to order, or that they take away your finished plates etc.. But I didnt care since the pizza was good...

Disappointing Experience Due to Rude Service

I have been a loyal patron of Zola restaurant in Berlin for almost two years, frequently enjoying their delicious pizzas and excellent service. However, my recent visit left me deeply disappointed due to the appalling behavior of one particular waiter.Upon arrival, I patiently waited to be attended to, but when I tried to get the attention of the waiter, she brushed me off with a curt "one moment." After finally placing my order for wine, cola, and a pizza without salami, I was met with further frustration. The drinks were unceremoniously plonked on the table without a word, and when the incorrect pizza—with salami—was delivered, my polite correction was met with dismissiveness.Instead of acknowledging the mistake and apologizing, the waiter responded with an unacceptable attitude, implying that my request was inconsequential. Her lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction tarnished what would have otherwise been an enjoyable dining experience.Furthermore, her retort of "nobody died" in response to my complaint was both unprofessional and insensitive, adding insult to injury. As a regular customer, I expect courteous service and respect from the staff. Sadly, this encounter has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I am hesitant to return to Zola in the future. Management should address issues of staff conduct to ensure that all patrons are treated with the respect...

We had a terrible experience there. First of all after we came in we were waiting for a long time for our order to be taken even after we were clearly ready to order. The food itself was okay, except one of the pizzas was extremely soggy and obviously not supposed to be as such, when we politely mentioned the state of the Pizza our waitress said “it is so”. The service and staff was horrendous. When we were trying to order dessert, the waitresses did not react and purposely ignored us multiple times. After it was obvious they were not come to our table, one of us went to the hostess stand to ask for the dessert, which was not brought to us for another 15 minutes, after which we had to ask for our dessert again from another waitress. Then when our desert was finally brought us was by that waitress, she did not place it down before being extremely offensive, loud and rude about the fact that WE HAD to order our desert twice. When we were finally done with our desert, and we asked for the bill, we were again ignored multiple times from multiple waitresses. And again time passed until we finally got our check. When we asked if we could split the bill the waitress bluntly refused and said we cannot split the bill. Our experience in this restaurant was horrendously terrible I would not recommend going there to anyone. We had a young child sitting with us, who felt threatened and afraid from the waitresses aggressive...
