The atmosphere was good, the food was great but the service was spectacular! Our waiter was one of the best we've had in years. We weren't even originally planning on eating there. It was my birthday and the restaurant we were originally going to was closed unexpectedly. We had been stuck in the rain for quite some time. So we stopped in and asked if they had a table. Our waiter (I cant remember his name but he had a beard braid and tattoo hand tattoo) went above and beyond to make us feel special and make my birthday wonderful. The fish soup was great, the the fish platter was delicious as was the gambass with pasta! And when we ordered ice cream for dessert he also brought us an extra small cake with a candle! Will definitely go back next time...

Sugar has kept us coming back since Cleopatra smeared it on her lips, and the blokes swarmed around her to their demise. Here, though, it presents some problems. Carrot is one of 4 keys for a good bouillabaisse stock. Here, it seems to take the place of onion, fennel, and bay leaf as well, leaving the stock of the otherwise good composition too sweet. Similarly, the fish dishes come with a mustard sauce that simply doesn't need the sugar that found its way in. The cod, too, is a sorry piece of small fillet, cooked way beyond optimal. The zander composition is reasonably tasty, and the sauerkraut is thankfully traditional and free of sugar. The service is really sharp. März 2018: Service unfreundlich, nahezu bratzig, obwohl kaum Betrieb und Stress für den Service. Dorschfilet unterirdisch, beim Thema Filetieren muss der Koch in der Berufsschule gefehlt haben. Viele dicke Gräten lassen die Lust auf Fisch schnell vergehen.

Preislich weiterhin sehr ambitioniert, welches in keinster Weise mit der abgelieferten Qualität zu rechtfertigen ist.

Fazit: Niveau hat sowohl im Service als auch in der Küche stark abgenommen! Der Preis steht in keinem Verhältnis zu der abgelieferten Qualität zu rechtfertigen ist. Nur noch einer von fünf möglichen Sternen.

Ostern 2017: Ein gutes Mittelklasse Fisch-Restaurant. Guter und freundlicher Service. Weisser gemahlener Pfeffer im Streuer steht für die fehlende höhere Gastro-Qualität des Eigentumers genauso wie der Empfang hinter der Theke vom ausschwirrenden Service. Beurteilt werden:

1.Kartoffelsuppe mit Parmesan: Vom Parmesan war nichts zu schmecken, kaum abgeschmeckt, fad.

2.Zanderfilet auf Wirsing und Kartoffelstampf: Fisch etwas trocken, Filet mit mehreren Gräten, gut abgeschmeckte Salatbeilage, Wirsing zu lasch, Kartoffelstampf solala.

Wein: Heger - Oktav, Badener Grauburgunder 2014. Sehr lecker, fruchtig. Insgesamt gute Weinauswahl.

3.Labskaus: solide, es fehlt aber ein geschmacklicher Gaumenreiz insbesondere beim Durchgedrehten. Das geht leckerer! daher nur "solide" und nichts außergewöhnliches. Gurke im Rollmops versteckt...

Es bleibt in der soliden Essenqualität und dem Ambiente noch Luft nach oben, die der gute Service alleine nicht wettmachen kann. Insgesamt ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis OK. Drei von...
