Chip&Lou Sushi Restaurant — Restaurant in Cochem

The food it's amazing, fresh, full of taste and a lot of incredible options.

However, the service is incredible slow and inattentive. We were gladly not on a hurry but the blond woman that "serve" us did not help us at all.

Every time we wanted to order, we had to waive because she was cleaning glasses behind the bar, then she came to say that she has to call a colleague to order, this happened 3 times. We finished desert and wanted a drink but after 20 minutes without anyone coming to our table, we decided to leave.

We wanted to pay, she said she was coming and never came back, after extra 15 minutes waiting, we decided to go to the bar, and after asking her again, nothing. Gladly another colleague came to let us pay.

If the service was good this would be a very top restaurant because the food is great, so it's the atmosphere...

UPDATE nach Besuch am 25.07.2025.

Reserviert hatten wir vor 2 Wochen. Trotz Bestätigung standen wir nicht im Buch. Mit Glück war noch ein Tisch frei.

Die Speisekarten wurden schnell gebracht, aber dann dauerte es ü 10 min. bis die Bedienung zu uns kam. Sie war einschließlich unorganisiert.

Vorspeise: Die Tempura Garnelen waren dieses Mal nicht richtig gebraten. Sie waren auch zu hell.

Die Sommerrollen waren total geschmacklos. Man hat nur den Salat geschmeckt.

Hauptspeise: Sushi Bowl. Es stand auf der Karte nichts von einer Soße dabei, aber es war Soße drauf und leider war der ganze Reis in Soße getränkt.

Ich vermute es war Teriyaki und Sesamsoße. Gerade solche Soßen sind speziell. Entweder schreibt man es dazu oder serviert die Soßen extra.

Leider hat die Sushi Bowl dadurch nicht mehr frisch geschmeckt und der ganze Geschmack der einzelnen Zutaten war nicht zu schmecken. Man hat nur die Soße geschmeckt. Ich konnte es nicht zu Ende essen.

Reisnudeln vehetarisch mit Frühlingsrollen:

Die Frühlingsrollen waren sehr fettig. Das Gericht an sich ging so. War auch nicht wie erwartet.

Im Vergleich zu vor 8 Monaten hat der Service und auch das Essen leider...

Chip & Lou is hands down one of the best places to enjoy great food in Cochem. The dishes were not only delicious, but beautifully presented – a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and fast. One thing to keep in mind: they do not accept card payments, so make sure to bring cash.
