Brauhaus Stüsser — Restaurant in Cologne

Wer sich im Agnes Viertel in Köln aufhält darf es nicht versäumen im Brauhaus Stüsser einzukehren.  Wir haben dort gegessen und es war richtig lecker. Ich hatte mir ein ganzes Rack Spareripps BBQ Style gegönnt, welche sous vide vorbereitet werden und dann knusprig aus dem Ofen serviert werden. Dazu wurden Kartoffelspalten mit Dips serviert. Das ganze Gericht war hammer genial. David hat uns bedient und war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Lokal hat einen Aussenbereich, der auch sehr gut besucht war. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis liegt im mittleren Preissegment, was aber auch den qualitativ guten Produkten, welche angeboten werden, wert ist. Wir haben uns wohl bei Euch gefühlt. Danke für die Gastfreundschaft wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.  Dieses Brauhaus Stüsser möchten wir sehr gerne weiterempfehlen.

Cualquiera que esté en el barrio de Agnes en Colonia no debería perderse una parada en Brauhaus Stüsser. Comimos allí y estaba absolutamente delicioso. Me di el capricho de un costillar entero de costillas de cerdo estilo barbacoa, preparadas al vacío y servidas crujientes recién salidas del horno. Las acompañé con patatas gajo y salsas. Todo el plato estaba absolutamente fantástico. David nos atendió y fue muy amable y atento. El restaurante tiene una terraza, que también estaba muy concurrida. La relación calidad-precio es media, pero la alta calidad de los productos que ofrecen lo vale. Nos sentimos como en casa. Gracias por su hospitalidad; estaremos encantados de volver. Recomendamos Brauhaus Stüsser encarecidamente.

Anyone in the Agnes Quarter in Cologne should not miss a stop at Brauhaus Stüsser. We ate there and it was absolutely delicious. I treated myself to a whole rack of BBQ-style spare ribs, which are prepared sous vide and then served crispy from the oven. It was served with potato wedges and dips. The whole dish was absolutely fantastic. David served us and was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant has an outdoor area, which was also very busy. The price-performance ratio is mid-range, but the high-quality products on offer are worth it. We felt at home with you. Thank you for your hospitality; we would be happy to come back. We would highly recommend Brauhaus Stüsser.

Si vous êtes dans le quartier d'Agnès à Cologne, ne manquez pas de faire un tour au Brauhaus Stüsser. Nous y avons mangé et c'était absolument délicieux. Je me suis régalé d'un carré entier de travers de porc façon barbecue, préparés sous vide puis servis croustillants à la sortie du four. Le tout était accompagné de quartiers de pommes de terre et de sauces. Le tout était absolument fantastique. David nous a servis avec beaucoup de gentillesse et d'attention. Le restaurant dispose d'une terrasse, qui était également très fréquentée. Le rapport qualité-prix est moyen, mais la qualité des produits proposés en vaut la peine. Extremely unwelcoming. Right upon seating the waitress stopped by, gave a judgemental look and, after we politely said hello, threw at us “you are in the middle of Cologne, you should speak German” as a greeting.

She remained rude and had hostile attitude even after we apologized and tried to order in German. We quickly left and went to a place around the corner that is at least a little bit more welcoming.

We travel a lot and always respect local customs, especially at the restaurants, but this is one of the most unfriendly experiences we’ve ever seen. We’ve been to Germany many times.

Nothing really fancy at this Brewery Restaurant but I somehow like the charm of those old pictures and its interior (with high roofs, wooden tables and benches & chairs) plus the freundly and entertaining Staffs. We were there for a Saturday lunch with pleasant crowd- the good mixture of neighborhood and some elderly tourists.

How about the food? Generous Portion cooked and served traditionally. I could only manage the yummy Main Course and pick up some Ice Cream...
