Café Toré / Grandé Tore — Restaurant in Cologne

It was the first time that I and my family (totally 3) went to this place for a breakfast. It will definitely be the last time. 1- After arrival, it took a while that someone came asking for our order without writing anything. I told my family how he could memorize without writing! After a couple of minutes, he came back and ask again for our order and writing this time because he forgot what we ordered. 2- After a while, we received our drinks. I asked for suger because there was nothing on our table. It took again a while to receive suger when my coffee was getting cold. 3- After a while, despite we ordered 3 breakfasts, we received 2 cutleries, then 2 ordered breakfasts. We thought the 3rd one will come later. Nothing happened. We asked about our 3rd order. He replied it is on the way. Then, after a couple of minutes, we received a cup of Classic coffee instead of Classic breakfast! After our complaint, he oppologized, took back the coffee, gave the cutlery and again after a while the 3rd order while both of us have already finished our breakfast. 4- A quarter of one of our order was left and we asked for take away. He took it for packing. When we went to the cashier for paying the bill, we asked for the takeaway part but surprisingly she said there was nothing. They realized that he either misunderstood or forgot it. 5- While I was so disappointed for the entire service, I paid the bill, transferred my negative feedback of our experience to the lady at the cashier and left. 6- On the way back, he (the waier) reached us and gave us a pice of cake in a pocket as compensation! We, of course, than for this behavior.

This cafe has to reconsider their service quality and skills of staffs.

Nice coffee shop, I rate for coffee only and great job of barista. Since they serve breakfast and it was morning, we decided to have a breakfast. The price for Mediterranean breakfast was quite high for receiving just to things left and right and dirty strawberries as decoration. The portions are small, it’s actually more snacking than having breakfast. I would suggest the place only for coffee. Just a take a way coffee spot . Unless they change their dishes portions or made it fair enough...

Its not a cafe', it is your HOME. It feels like you are entering into your Home, while meeting the the super friendly stuffs! If you are in Cologne, you should definitely go to this beautiful place once and enjoy the warm atmosphere. Almost everything there, is home-made; there is a wide variety of delicious cakes and juices. For the breakfast there are also interesting options. There is also daily one or two different kinds of soups and at least one of them...
