I wish I could give this place zero stars. My experience here was not just disappointing, it was outright appalling. The manager displayed blatantly racist behavior toward an elderly Spanish-speaking woman who was simply trying to order at the counter. Instead of assisting her or showing basic kindness, the manager patronizingly said, “In Germany, it’s different,” implying that her way of ordering was somehow unacceptable.
This level of intolerance and lack of respect is unacceptable in any establishment, let alone one that serves diverse communities and visitors. It left a horrible taste in my mouth, not from the coffee, but from the sheer disrespect.
If you care about inclusivity, basic human decency, or simply being treated with respect, avoid this place at all costs. Management should seriously reflect on their attitudes and undergo sensitivity training before they continue to alienate and...

My husband asked what the ladies on the next table were drinking and was told Crémant, which he ordered. It was delivered to our table by the older waiter, who spilt some as he put it down but did nothing about it. He told us it was Crémant de Limoux, which we know well. The Crémant was flat so we told the younger waiter and he brought another glass, which he banged down on the table! We had noticed that the 3 glasses on the next table had also been changed. When we paid the bill the younger waiter told us that a tip was not included in the bill and in Germany people reward waiters for their good service. It was not good service so we did not leave a ‘reward’. Will...

Comparing to Epi - the coffee is smaller, but the patisserie products are quite similar. Although at Epi you do have a whole lot more organic stuff. The menu is sufficiently diverse at La Maison du Pain that you can visit it again and again.
How would i choose between epi and this place? If in what a chill chat with a friend then id head for La Maison du Pain. If its about the breakfast, i might favour epi. But I’ll surely give this place a...
