I went today, expecting to have delicious breakfast and nice experience. didn’t have both and that’s why. first of all, coffee. I’ve never seen this type of cappuccino, which tasted like water with coffee and some milk foam on top. but food.. how can you mess up 2 dishes twice? two real simple dishes? I ordered Shakshouka and received small pane with hard fried( over fried I should say) egg. it’s was nothing like it should be and even with brown edges( with mean it was fried for too long), but I was told that it should be like that and it was too hard for me. When I asked to change, cause it’s just fried egg with tomato sauce, but now what I ordered, I received almost the same. still hard egg, but just on one side little softer. it was a lot of hard pieces of egg, you can see that in 2 picture.
my gf ordered Benedict eggs and it was the same. She also asked to remake the dish and received the same result, as me. and I will not even start with bread, that you should use brioche, not black bread. it’s too hard and it’s impossible too cut and also it’s not fulfilling the same, as brioche. I received just fitness bread with sunflower seeds. again, it doesn’t go well with this dish.
in the end I can say that servers were really nice, but I don’t know how cold world there. I myself worked in the kitchen and I can say, that when 3 people( one woman also asked to change something)in one hour complained- than maybe it’s something not ok from...
Read moreWould not recommend. Food was not tasty and everything was quite overpriced... The dish I ordered also made little sense and I'm mad I ordered it - yogurt and pomegranate risotto? Huh??? Italians would cry if they knew someone made this. Plus it was bland and had no flavor. The ordering system is quite odd - even though on the day I went there were 3 or 4 employees, they asked me to order using their in-house QR code system, but you could just as easily just talk to people, which is what I think a good coffeehouse would prefer, you know, like more conversations among people. Anyway, to offer the only counterpoint, the atmosphere is excellent on a good people-watching street and the area has a very open-minded,...
Read moreReally great brunch spot in Neustadt that's packed with locals on a Saturday morning. They have an extensive menu with lots of options and additions. I got a café crema and the New York New York and my date got a cappuccino and the Ei Benedict. The coffees were fantastic and the portions were healthy. The bacon jam on the Benedict caught me a little off guard and I can't tell if I'm a fan. And the NYNY could come with slightly more fruit or Brötchen toppings. But other than that, everything was delicious and I ate every last bite. The service was super friendly, our food came out fast, and the vibe is bumpin' but cozy. Overall, a great choice for those in the area looking for a...
