Trattoria La Piazzetta — Restaurant in Dresden

This restaurant has a good location, not in the city center of Dresden but just across the “main” (Augustusbrücke) bridge. The pizza I ordered was tasty, the dough was good and in general the combination of ingredients too, but one of the ingredients “Peperoni” (green peppers) somehow had a strange flavor, luckily there were just a few and could be easily removed. I also had a tiramisu for dessert, which was not bad but it wasn’t also the best I had. For my taste, the ladyfingers were texture was a bit too wet, so I didn’t particularly enjoyed it. So overall, I am not sure, if I was just unlucky, but I would rate the food as good+, mainly the pizza (without the green peppers). The service was fine, nothing amazing, so pretty standard in my opinion. The ambience of the restaurant was quite nice and definitely a plus in my opinion. In terms of price, in my opinion, it is quite affordable. They seem to have some offer on Sunday for Pizzas, which seemed quite good (8.5€ for all pizzas, if I recall correctly). But even without the offer, the prices were quite decent. I paid around 25€ for a beer (0.5L), pizza and dessert. Since there is no intermediate between “good” and “very good”, I am rating it as very good, but I would say a good+ would be more accurate. Definitely a very good Italian restaurant. We had some pizzas and a tagliatelle bolognese. Pizzas were very good and so was the pasta, however my son (bless the kid) remarked that I can do just as well. Which is true, to be honest. We really liked the ambiance, the food and the service. We've been here before, and as brother Schwarzenegger is wont to say: "I'll be back."

I do have one extra word to add about the lady that took our orders. She is very, very good at her job (and I told her so). If I wanted something, I just had to twitch my nose a bit, and she noticed. Very impressive, very professional.

Super freundlich und tolles Essen, auch zu später Stunde. Wir haben uns nach dem Besuch der Semperoper auf die Suche nach einem Restaurant gemacht, das nach 21 Uhr noch eine geöffnete Küche hat. Zwar hatten wir ein solches gefunden, allerdings als nicht ortskundige Menschen und mit den Sperrungen durch Weihnachtsmärkte schwierig zu finden. Nach dem Fund eines Parkplatzes sind wir mit leicht schlechtem Gewissen in die Trattoria gegangen und haben gefragt, ob es noch etwas zu essen gibt. "Pizza oder Pasta geht noch" war die freundlich Aussage des Kellners. Also haben meine Partnerin Pasta und ich Pizza bestellt. Die Bestellung wurde wiederum freundlich und ohne Hektik aufgenommen. Beides hat wunderbar geschmeckt. Zwischen dem Verzehr und der Bezahlung bei einer Kollegin lichtete sich merklich die Gästezahl. Deswegen stellte ich die (rhetorische) Frage, ob das Restaurant normalerweise nicht um 22 Uhr Feierabend hätte - es war zu diesem Zeitpunkt 22:30 Uhr. Diese Frage wurde bejaht, aber nach wie vor freundlich und entspannt beantwortet. Außerdem wurde unser Gewissen ebenfalls beruhigt. Ein wunderbares und tolles Erlebnis. So würde man sich in einem Traum eine Gastronomie vorstellen. Vielen lieben Dank an die Belegschaft, die uns am 16.12.22 bedient hat. Wir kommen garantiert wieder, wenn wir mal wieder in Dresden sind. Aber keine Angst - mit Vorbestellung und deutlich früher. Dann können wir auch in den Genuss der anderen Speisen kommen, die sich bereits sehr sehr gut gelesen haben. Und bei dieser Küche bestimmt auch genauso...
