Burger & CO — Restaurant in Duisburg

I went there a few weeks ago with a friend and we ordered a smash bacon cheeseburger and a chop cheeseburger, both in menus. The fries were perfectly crispy and the burgers were absolutely delicious. They also gave us an ice cream as a part of menu and that was such a perfect touch, to add dessert in the menu too. We both loved the food. I definitely recommend.

Amendment: I am changing my 5 star review to one. The reason ? I have kept on ordering the same burger over and over in the last few months, and I am deeply disappointed. Not only is it getting a bit saltier, but they have stopped putting vegetables in it! No lettuce, no tomatoes, no onions , and sometimes not even the sauce! nothing fresh, even though based on the lieferando menu, these items should be included in the burger, they still “forget?” to add them, so i keep receiving a very salty burger (which probably wouldn’t feel so salty if the fresh ingredients weren’t missed). I have even started to add the note that says “please don’t forget the fresh ingredients” and STILL they didn’t put the lettuce in one time. Honestly, if I am supposed to ask them to put the ordered ingredients in the food, and sometimes still don’t receive it, then someone is doing sth...

If you are looking for a place to eat, please reconsider your decision to dine here. The hostess's professionalism and adherence to hygiene standards are nonexistent. When handling food, it is imperative to maintain short nails, properly cover hair, and avoid the presence of any extensions and clearly this person is not respecting any of these. Furthermore, the behavior of the owner is highly discourteous, as evidenced by their disrespectful treatment of former employees, including shouting at them and disregarding their physical and mental well-being. It is regrettable that the quality of the establishment has declined since my friend has left. When my friend worked there, I appreciated her commitment to maintaining sanitary conditions. Vorab: DuisBurger heißt nun anders und wurde an einen neuen Besitzer verkauft.

Dieser hat zunächst etwas umgebaut und für neue Tische sowie Stühle gesorgt. Das ganze war bitter nötig, da die alte Einrichtung schon halb auseinander gefallen ist.

Bei unserem letzten Besuch viel uns direkt das neue Mobiliar sowie die hellere Beleuchtung auf. Das Licht ist leider viel zu hell für die tiefen Decken. Es herrscht dort nun ein sehr kühles Ambiente.

Nun kommen wir zum absoluten No-Go in unseren Augen. Damals wurden die Pommes frisch selber hergestellt. Diese waren das absolute Highlight dieses Restaurants. Seit dem Besitzerwechsel bekommt man hier "Fertig-Pommes" serviert, die nicht gut schmecken und vorallem im Magen liegen wie ein Stein. Wir haben definitiv nichts gegen eine Preiserhöhung, da der alte Besitzer wirklich günstige Preise lange gehalten hat. Jedoch ist es ein Unding, die für unseren geschmack erstklassigen, selbstgemachten Pommes gegen ein Fertig- und Billigprodukt zu tauschen und hier auch noch den Preis anzuheben. Da bringt es auch nichts, etwas mehr Pommes auf den Teller zu klatschen.

Ein Weiteres No-Go ist die absolut miserable bis garnicht vorhandene Abluft- bzw. Lüftungsanlage. Man sieht von außen schon den dichten Qualm im Laden. Ihr könnt euch darauf einstellen, dass ihr nachdem ihr dort gegessen habt, direkt eure Kleidung wechseln könnt, da ihr so dermaßen nach Rauch und altem Fett stinkt.

Die Smashed-Burger sind absolut Weltklasse. Diese sollte jeder mal probiert haben. Die anderen Burgervarianten sind es ebenfalls Wert probiert zu werden. Wir favorisieren eher die kleinen Burger, da man diese besser essen kann. Die großen ergeben meistens nur einen einzigen Matschhaufen. Die Burgerbrötchen sind jedoch Geschmacksache. Wir mögen diese lieber etwas klebrig. Die, die hier genutzt werden schmecken eher bröselig und zerfallen sehr schnell.

Für uns hat sich DuisBurger nach dem Umbau leider ins negative gewandelt. Hier werden wir höchstens nochmal Burger abholen. Dort essen werden...
