I rarely leave reviews, but this experience truly warrants one.
The restaurant itself is aesthetically pleasing, and the wine selection is commendable. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The starters and main courses were average at best—not terrible, but certainly not worth the prices, either in quality or portion size.
The real disappointment, however, was the service. We were a large group, and while I understand that serving a big party can be challenging, the staff made us feel more like an inconvenience than valued guests.
The situation reached its low point at the end of the evening. We had brought a homemade cake to celebrate a friend’s 30th birthday and politely asked for plates to eat this. To our surprise, we were told this would not be allowed unless we paid an additional fee per person. This was after a full dinner for 15 people—including a couple of starters, several main courses, multiple bottles of wine, and some cocktails—resulting in a bill of over €500.
When we tried to discuss this matter calmly and asked if an exception could be made, given the size of our bill and the fact that we intended to order more wine with dessert, one of the servers responded very rudely and even raised his voice at me. I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior in a restaurant before.
Overall, the food was average, the prices were high, and the service was unacceptable. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to others. There are several restaurants just a few hundred meters away that offer far better value, quality, and...
Read moreGood food but the worst service I experienced in a long time - seems like most of the waiters know a lot of guests which they prefer to serve first. I wasn’t asked once during the evening if I would like another drink - besides that I ordered a new glass of wine for my main dish and the guy forgot about it, the waiter who should have taken care about this, decided to smoke a cigarette instead….when they cleaned up the table they asked if everything was fine and I point it out BUT they didn’t even apologized. Nevertheless they offer a broad range of bottled wine, also natural ones which I really enjoyed but unfortunately the service kills it for me…if you don’t care some much about service then feel free to take a seat and enjoy the delicious dishes which are definitely...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our evening at Em Brass. We tried the watermelon with feta and ceviche as starters, the fussiloni pasta, argentinian entrecote and grilled octopus arm. The entrecote was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the octopus was a little bit too salty for our taste. I loved the fussiloni but the other people at the table didn't. The noodles are super fresh and delicious, we all agreed about that. The ceviche could've used more citrus for our taste, it didn't have enough lime juice. The watermelon salad was tasty but 15€ is an outrageous price for a slice of watermelon, in my opinion. Overall, the prices are fair but some dishes are a bit too pricy in my opinion. We would gladly come back though as the menu rotates and I'm sure there are some future dishes...
