Same as Reef and Beef down the street?
At least if you have a look at the menu it's not the one linked here. Or you just find one without prices... then just have a look at Reef and Beef prices.
They have lots of different wines there. A glass you can choose the type but not know what they bring is 9,90 EUR , a bottle starting at 39 EUR - most around 89-99. The glass of merlot they did bring I rate as good supermarket quality. I would not wonder if one can buy 2 bottles for the price of one glass.
Quality does not match the prices. The tenderloin 300 gr. for 39 EUR does not even include some French fries... And the four pieces cut makes the meat go cold before you even reach half of it.
The baked potatoe for 4,50 EUR looks like normal price, but is just a water cooked one put into alloy foil and kept warm in oven.
Lucky, my wife does not like to have her meat to bloody. If I had ordered the filet medium like she did, I would have ask to prepare a new one as it was well done.
The rating of the meat, from someone who is in that business was named as "...below ground level". Surprise me and proof you served bio quality!
In the end, be careful if they really bring a final invoice before you pay. Definitely us and the next table, they just asked to pay for the intermediate one... Sorry, that's tricking taxes guys! ...and leads...
Read moreThere is,no doubt that this is one of the gest steak house in Germany. They truly have perfected the art of cooking a steak to perfection. And the steak is not even that expensive at e.g. 59€ for a t-bone. Also I love the valet parking. However, the drink prices are unacceptable at 9,90€ for a bottle of sparkling water and wines are ridiculously expensive, wines that retail at 10€ cost 69€ and so on, so one steak, 2 sides and a dessert and a glass of wine with friends ends up costing 100€. And for that money well I don’t expect to wait 30’ standing before getting the table even though we had reserved, I want waiters to be perfect, light enough to actually see the meat and enough space between tables to make a cozy atmosphere, and all of this was missing. So sorry this place could be gorgeous. Still, always crowded which brings us back to the beginning of this review, the steaks are brilliant, the meat is really high quality, properly aged and really well cooked. They have a way of serving it on a really hot porcelain plate with the meats juice it is simply gorgeous. It is just a pity now if the wine was three times the retail price and not seven… we would have an...
Read moreso so.. when we came in they looked at us from top to bottom.. wenn seated everything ok but too many waiters. 4 would be enough but there were 8 or 10 waiter for this small restaurant.
steaks were good end the truffle mashedpatato was really good! but from wine to food everything is pretty expensive. funny thing is that a 200gr filet ladies cut cost 29,50, a 300gr filet 38,50 but a 400 gr costs 55,90. ?????? wo did the math there?
they try to do it the etiquette way but they're not successfull in it. reaching a hot plate across the table is not a smart move and after receiving our coats the waiter (the one i still don't know what he was doing there with his grumpy face) puts them in my and and walked away.. if you want to do etiquette then help my girlfriend get in her coat. not that i'm a person who really wants to see it but if you do something, then...
