Lemonade Café — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

Update: Owners try to tune their review scores by sending a lawyer after all reviews that score too low. Very poor business practice and ethics!

As the place does not allow me to rate my experience in a way I see fit for my own use of Google, please see below the summary of my experience in October 2021:

Quaint café with a relatively nice interior. The presentation of food was also nice, but sadly this place is more focused on aesthetics than quality. The first coffee was burned and bitter. The second attempt generated a better visual experience, but the roast was still over extracted. One of the cakes was still ice cold inside (perhaps previously frozen)?

The service was very unfriendly, did not welcome my feedback and kind request to re-do the coffee.

Overall a real shame, since the place would have potential of the food and service would be on par with the visuals.

I maintain this low score, as it sadly has been a pretty terrible experience in what is a very competitive DUS café environment. Things may have changed, but I do not appreciate businesses trying to intimidate reviewers with lawyers to tune their...

I really wish I could give more stars but our experience just wasn’t worth much more. It’s a really cute cafe with a nice outdoor area (just loads and loads of plastic flowers), but the food just wasn’t great, and also the service could be improved. I had the bagel and there wasn’t really anything on it, so I basically was as hungry as before after eating it. The sandwich my boyfriend had was way better - so I recommend going for that if you are hungry. In terms of service: Even though it wasn’t really full, it took quite a while for as to get our food (the three waitresses seemed a bit overwhelmed). Plus one of the waitresses family apparently was sitting next to us, and she kept coming to their table, scolding her kids again and again. Very cute little cafe, i have accedently discovered it on Instagram and couldn't wait to discover it. Unfortanetly was bad experience regarding the food. The atmosphere & decorations are very cozy, i have taken a lot of photos. The staff is fiendly and we were comfortable. Regarding the food, i have expected a high quality, but it was terrible. Here is the reviews of our order: flat white: it was nothing the same as I expected, the coffee is not intensive and the quality of Oat milk is not tasty (not speciality coffee) different taste of smothies: they are watery and didn't taste good. iced freddo espresso: without ice porridge: not tasty, with frozen fruits of it.
