We came in for brunch and ordered the Detox Tea, the Eggs Benedict Sucuk, and the Cheesy Donut. It took some time for our order to be taken, and it was understandable as the café was packed but we did notice that the couple that had came in after us had their orders taken first. We were only attended to once their food was served. At this point, we were a bit bemused but we chalked it off as perhaps they had voiced their orders immediately upon entering the place.
The Detox tea was served with a morsel of banana bread. As we were having our tea, a group of 3 entered and we were asked by the waitress to move to a different table so that they could combine our original table with the one next to us for the group. No problem, we agreed to move. Once we settled into our new table with our tea, we were asked to move again five minutes later to yet a different table because apparently the table they had sat us at was already reserved. Sure, the first time was fine but a second time? And we weren’t really given the option to say no because they also told us that they had already placed our food on the newest table they were moving us to.
To make matters worse, when we got to the new table, the donut of our Cheesy Donut had already fallen onto the plate below. The photo description in the menu had depicted it as hanging on the hook. With the donut essentially crushing the steak and chips, it was just a complete mess of an appearance and a struggle to eat. The steak itself was very rare and did not pair well with the cheese. The Eggs Benedict Sucuk was fine, if you ignore that parts of the whites were undercooked. It was such a pity because if more care had been put into these dishes, they would have come out great.
At the end of the meal, we were given two slices of banana bread to make up for our troubles. … I’ve worked in cafés before so I completely understand how difficult and stressful it can be. Being moved around twice would have been acceptable if more sincerity and effort had been put into ensuring that the food portion of our dining experience fit the quality that was advertised to us. This experience was not worth the...
Read moreGreat spot for breakfast and brunch with a diverse and creative menu! They offer something for everyone - from sweet pancakes and healthy bowls to savory cast iron skillets, Eggs Benedict, and fun twists like mac and cheese topped with BBQ ribs.
The tropical fruit pancakes were light, fluffy, and generously topped with fresh fruit and earthy maple syrup. The menemen pan was a standout: soft scrambled eggs cooked with peppers and onions, served alongside thick yogurt and pide bread - flavorful and comforting. Drinks were equally well-crafted, from coffees to homemade drinks.
Service was impressively friendly and efficient. Our group of six had all our food and drinks served within 10 minutes.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.
The restaurant itself is quite small and inside it feels a bit stuffy and tight. Ventilators would go along way.
Highly recommended for a relaxed yet satisfying brunch - just make sure to book ahead if you're going on...
