Mama Gyoza is an absolute gem in Düsseldorf—a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Malaysian and Asian flavors. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and passion behind every dish.
The acar (pickled salad) was fresh, tangy, and bursting with flavor—an appetizer that truly sets the tone. The curry noodles instantly transported me back to Malaysia, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat and spice. Comforting, nostalgic, and incredibly satisfying.
And then there’s the rainbow gyoza—a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Beautifully presented and totally Instagram-worthy, but more importantly, each bite was packed with taste and texture.
Chef and owner Jennifer is the heart of the experience. Warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about sharing the food of her heritage—she makes you feel right at home.

For 15€ for a bowl of laksa and 9€ per serving of gyoza, which is at the same price level as the many Japanese ramen restaurants of Düsseldorf, we expected much more.

The offers are available as card and via QR Code. You can choose between a lot of different dishes; very nice selection.
Also we got recommendations from Mama Gyoza. The food was freshly made and was very delicous. We came around 8pm so the main dinner time was over. This was good for us because we also had the chance to have a nice talk with the Owner and her story.
So this place is highly recommended if you like Asian food. Unfortunately we live a bit far from Düsseldorf but definately we come back here when we are around.
Enjoy your trip to a very authentic Malaysian...
