I had ordered chai (tea) along with my main course and mango lassi. To my surprise chai was served along with my main course. Being Indian it is trivial knowledge that chai cannot be served with main course or mango lassi. Chai has to come first and then the main course. Infact chai came in 1 minute after the main course on the table and the reason given was they were making fresh chai. Everyone knows the Indian cuisine takes fairly long to cook, but surprisingly it was made even before chai. Do I take it as the main course was not made fresh? By the time I finished my chai and went to main course, everything was cold already. Also one of the most important point about an Indian restaurant is to portray the hospitality which exists in India, and I did not feel an iota of it. There is no point of going to this place if these basics are not taken care of first. There are good Indian restaurants within 1km from this one. I would recommend to go there rather than dining here. Was deeply...
Read more6 reasons, why you should NOT visit the Boliwood Indian restaurant in Erlangen
This week we visited the Boliwood restaurant in Erlangen and we had the worst experience.
Service was very rude. When we asked for some pickle with our food order, they rudely said that the pickle is not free of cost. They do not provide drinking tap water. Food quantity was so less and prices were too high. The samosa we ordered was so small. We had ordered 3 breads. They served us 2. We finished and were waiting for the third bread. We waited around 10 min (thinking making bread would take some time). But they had completely forgotten. Waiting so long in between dinner with empty plates was terribly embarrassing. After dinner, 1 plate rice was left. We requested them to pack it. They asked for extra 1 euro for packing. We refused it.
In general, the atmosphere was negative and demotivating.

The tandoori menu is a highlight, from juicy Tandoori Chicken to the perfectly spiced Seekh Kebabs and smoky, tender Paneer Tikka. Each dish showcases masterful marination and cooking, bringing out rich, bold flavors.
In curries, the Butter Chicken is creamy and mildly sweet, while the Rogan Josh is aromatic with tender lamb, and the vegetarian Dal Makhani is rich and comforting. Their biryani is also superb—fragrant, spiced basmati rice cooked to perfection.
With its flavorful dishes and welcoming atmosphere, Boliwood is a true gem. Highly recommended for an authentic Indian...
