Mam-Mam Burger — Restaurant in Erlangen

The restaurant is nice, well designed and the service is good. The burger is a bit expensive, principally considering that the french fries and the toppings cost extra, and can quickly make the total cost of the meal even more expensive. There are not too many options of burger to choose, which is a bummer in my opinion, mainly options of toppings which cost extra. The burger was tasty, but was small for my taste. The french fries were not very good, a bit too oily and dark, some burnt, could be improved for sure. All in all an ok experience, but I would prefer another burger place instead. I would not recommend it to a friend, but also would not tell you not to go if you ask me. My conclusion is: try for yourself and see if you like it... But you will probably not see me...

The cheese burger my boyfriend had was good, although portion a little small. But mine was the biggest disappointment, most insulting piece of food I have ever received in my life. I'm vegan so I have checked the menu in advance and saw they have a portobello burger, with this in mind I was excited. No, no, no my dear. I asked for it with low carb no bun and vegan (so no cheese), they brought me one piece of mushroom and three pieces of raw veggies. All of this for the same nice amount of SEVEN EUROS (€7!!!!). This was honestly insulting. If you're gonna cut my plate in half at least give me something else or charge me a reasonable amount. The fries were greasy and some of them burned. Truly disappointed, I would say this is not vegan friendly but Mam Mam is more like...

EDIT: Their beef burgers have really improved and I prefer them over the chicken burgers! Super generous with toppings and sauce and I crave it so much! The brioche bun is out of this world, it’s so soft and the skin of the bread is smooth and shiny, a lot of love went into their bread no doubt!

Their home cut fries are really good, in terms of portion as well as recipe. It’s almost hollow so it’s super crispy with a little softness inside. If you like softer fries, you won’t like these. Their sweet potato fries are also good but they always serve only small portions. Onion rings are also good. Their dipping sauces are a must...
