Orpheus im Deutschen Haus — Restaurant in Erlangen

Wir waren mal zu mehreren da (vor 3 Jahren) und sehr enttäuscht vom Essen. Sämtliche Vorspeisen/Beilagen haben nach nichts geschmeckt und waren aus der Packung! Jetzt noch einmal mit einem Gyrosteller probiert: kein Tzaziki (welcher Grieche reicht bitte kein Tzaziki zum Gyros?!?), die Pommes haben nicht geschmeckt, der Salat hatte keinen Geschmack, Essig und Öl stand auf anderen Tischen, aber nicht auf meinem. Aber ganz ehrlich: Wer geht bitte in ein Restaurant, um sich dann dort sein Essen selbst zuzubereiten??? Wenn der "Koch" nicht einmal einen Salat anmachen kann, hat er möglicherweise den falschen Beruf gewählt! Das Fleisch war stellenweise angebrannt, pfurztrocken und knusprig! Das muss mir mal einer erklären, wie das sein kann, wenn das Fleisch frisch vom Spiess geschnitten wird!? Bei meinem Stammgriechen ist das Fleisch IMMER saftig, IMMER NICHT knusprig und IMMER NICHT angebrannt, wie schafft DER das nur?!?? (Geheimtipp: er kauft nur die Beste Qualität ein und benutzt JEDEN TAG einen komplett frischen Spiess und wenn der aufgebraucht ist, hat man eben Pech gehabt und es gibt kein Gyros mehr!) Das Restaurant war gut besucht und es gingen schon etliche Gyros-Portionen vor mir raus! Das Fleisch müsste also saftig, nicht angebrannt und auch nicht knusprig wie die Kruste eines Schäufalas sein! Ich habe den Verdacht, dass es sich um älteres Fleisch handelte, dass einfach nochmal in der Pfanne angebrutzelt wurde! Mahlzeit! In Erlangen kommt man mit so einer Masche aber problemlos durch, weil wir hier eine unglaubliche Dichte, an sehr schlechten gastronomischen Betrieben haben! Somit kriegen sogar solche "Restaurants" teils unglaublich positive Bewertungen, die Leute sind halt nur schlechtes gewohnt. Firstly, they made us go up to the counter at the front to order. We had to go back to the front eventually to pay. For a seated restaurant like this, I didn’t expect to have to do that. Food took quite long to arrive. Overall, everything was really really reaaaally salty (even by German standards) and tasted nothing like how it should. If I had a choice, I would not go back there. We were staying in a hotel across the road but got so much food on the Meteora plate for two that we needed a taxi to cross the road..Food good quality if a bit salty (to make you drink more). A friendly family run place. To be recommended. The decor inside is a bit like the restaurant in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" but that adds to the atmosphere. Locals eat here and like it.
