I wish i could give this restaurant 0 stars. I am an American visiting Germany. I was looking for an authentuc german restaurant to try schnitzel. This restaurant was recommended by the hotel staff where I am staying. I tried ordering what my mom ordered which was yagerschnitzel. I was refused that ability by the overbearing chef who was not even the waiter. He was so set on pushing his agenda to try his disgusting food, that he did not provide good service. I told him he could bring the dish that he forced on me but if i didnt like it he would need to take it back. When the check came the dish was still on it so i asked him to take it off. Long story short HE WOULD NOT. Saying he already cooked it and that i should pay. He should be very thankful that i was with a group and did not want to make a scene because i would NOT have paid for that nasty food otherwise. And i wouldve lit into his behind. We DO NOT play that scamming mess in America. I will more than likely dispute the charges cause thats absolutely ridiculous you cannot strong arm a person into...
Read moreBest traditional German cuisine. We ordered two pils, one apfelsaft with Frankfurter plater and schweinshaxe as a group of three. The portion was huge we did not dare to finish all. The food is very good. I personally liked sauerkraut with the mashed potato and pork knuckle. The staff is all very nice. They were kind enough to check on us frequently. Seen some comments on their English communication but I did not have a single struggle with it. Most staff speaks very good english and everyone is willing to assist us. Atmosphere is also very nice. They played some rock band songs in the background and it perfectly matched the local vibes.
Coming from whose tastebuds are used to Korean food, I find German food a little bit salty, not only in here but really all the restaurant we've tried in Germany so far. If you feel great with other places in the country you will be just fine. Seems like everyone enjoys their food.
Thanks for the amazing experience...
Read moreThe food at Frankfurt Kuche was truly great — everything we ordered (aside from one issue) was flavorful and well-prepared. However, the service experience was disappointing.
We ordered the potato soup but were served French onion soup instead. When we mentioned the mix-up to our server, he told us to “try it first,” and walked away. The tone made it feel like the mistake was ours, and he never returned to check in or offer to fix the issue. The soup went untouched, and no follow-up ever came.
It’s frustrating when great food is overshadowed by poor service. If the front-of-house team can match the quality coming out of the kitchen, this place would...
