Himalaya -Laternchen — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Ordered chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and a cheese naan through Wolt. Unfortunately, the meal was very underwhelming. The chicken in both dishes was tough, and the flavours were surprisingly bland. The butter chicken was excessively creamy, while the tikka masala tasted like a generic curry without any of the distinct spices and depth you’d expect from such a classic dish. The naan was doughy and lacked flavour.

Had it not been for the 40% discount through the app, I would have felt completely overcharged for what I received at full price. Overall, it was edible but far below the standard I’d expect for...

BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT I'VE EVER TRIED (and I've tried a lot).

There aren't enough stars to rate this place. Lights, decoration, music... It feels like a home in which you're the guest.

We tried the cheese naan, the tandoori mix and some of the vegan dishes and they were perfect. It is a plus if you can talk with the owner: she'd tell you how they choose the ingredients, how they balance the spices... A pleasure to those who appreciate genuine Indian...

Vielleicht für manche, in der indischen (oder sonstigen..) Küche nicht so erfahrenen Gäste, nett wg dem günstigen Mittagsmenue, man sitzt auch ganz nett, sofern man im vorderen Bereich ist. Der Service ist aufmerksam und nett, aber ganz ehrlich:

Alle Portionen der 5 Hauptspeisen waren winzig und für den Preis waren wir alle ziemlich sprachlos!

Die Vorspeisen Platte ebenso leider eine volle Enttäuschung, da völlig lieblos und minimalistisch und einfallslos bestückt und dafür ebenfalls viel zu teuer. Ich zahle gern mehr, wenn ich sehe und schmecke(!!), dass der Koch seinen Job liebt und nicht nur einfach irgendwas auf den Teller knallt.

Aber das nervigste war: Es schmeckte wirklich alles gleich fad und völlig ähnlich und das bei 5 unterschiedlichen Gerichten mit verschiedenen Fleisch Sorten (mit höchstens 2/3 Stückchen..!?!!) und vegetarisch.

Wenn ich nicht einen Geburtstags Opi am Tisch gehabt hätte, wäre ich nicht so leise geblieben, ich habe mich wirklich geschämt vor meinen Gästen.

Im Sommer '23 wechselt der Besitzer, habe ich später von einem Nachbarn erfahren. Vielleicht macht der es besser und übernimmt hoffentlich nicht den Koch...🙈

Sorry, aber da gibt es wirklich qualitativ bessere Indische Alternativen hier in Frankfurt !

Dieses Erlebnis kann man sich und seinem Portemonnaie sparen.
