Very weird service; the young guys at the counter were arrogant and standoffish, the older guys who took care of the restaurant floor were much too obtrusive. This one guy started wiping the table I was still eating at and expected me to pick up my tray so he could wipe under it. A short while later he returned to mop the floor, and beat against my feet with the mop until I held them up so he could wipe under my chair. Disrespectful of their customers, though I had the impression they were much friendlier towards Turkish(?) or Arabic(?) customers.
I had a döner sandwich. If you only care about the meat, you will be happy here. The meat was spiced well. I think the bread may have been home-made, it tasted like pizza crust. Other ingredients were: a few strips of salad leaf, lots of onions, and what felt like a glass of garlic sauce. Nope, not convinced. Walk a little farther down the Zeil (eastwards, out of the pedestrian area) where there are two Turkish restaurants with better service and more "put together" döner sandwiches. One extra star because the meat was tasty. However, I noticed a lot of people ordering pizzas (Turkish, sucuk, etc.). Maybe that's what they're really good at. I won't be back to...
Read moreLet me tell you about my afternoon. I went to buy a camera lens and parted with 1000euro for it. I then came here for lunch and paid 8 euro for a pizza. I walked out of the camera shop feeling as though I forced someone to give me half hearted customer service. I left this place feeling like a king. High praise I know , but when you can give someone a smile, some interest, great service , brilliant authentic food and drink and take an interest in their experience when there , I'd be using this place versus my camera shop experience as an example to every retail branch I used to manage back home in scotland. Pizza over , we were given a complimentary desert and tea. Not lavish but tasty and welcome. The staff interacted with each other well, the place was spotless, they made their own Ayran drink which was delicious. I am a sarcastic person. I don't enthuse often, see my other reviews but when you can leave a lunchtime kebab house feeling like you really mattered and content with the food quality, then I'd give them 6 stars if I could . OK, back.to being sarcastic now ..go...
Read moreHaving holiday in Frankfurt and visited Toprak Kebab Haus first time today. Staffs were very nice, welcoming and friendly. I ordered Menu 7 with grilled chicken. Chicken was tender and not dry and it taste really good 👍. It was served with Rice which also taste really good and the flat toast bread on top of it was the best. It taste really good and was warm. Food was served warm. Their price is good and I got exactly what they put on their menu, same size of food. Restaurant is clean. What i actually liked about their grill is that you can actually see all the fresh beef, chicken and lamb in a show glad ready to be grilled when you place your order.
I will be visiting there again next time am in Frankfurt and i would recommend this restaurant to other tourists or visitors within Germany visiting Frankfurt. I was served a nice hot Chai tea for free 😋 to help...
