We were booked in 2 rooms, 1 for 7 nights and the other one for 8 nights. Location is the best part of this hotel. Otherwise the service is so bad in all aspects. Only one particular Lithuanian girl, Asura maybe was her name. She was the star of the show. All other receptionists were pretty rude overall. Internet didn't work for 3 nights right from the check in. The air conditioning unit is a rather weak, doesn’t feel like it’s cooling at all. I complained to the front desk about it for 3 days straight and they always said someone will come and fix it. We would get back to the hotel in the evening and no change in cooling. We stayed between 18th June to 26th june 2023. It was a max of 32-34 degrees outside in the day and you need the air con to work effectively. It really felt hot inside the room at all times. The temperature usually would fall down to 25 degrees that’s when you’d feel a little okayish, not cooler by any stretch of imagination. The housekeeping staff often forgot to clean our rooms and we often had to complain/ask them to do it in the evening when we would come back from work. Imagine your room looking like a mess when you come back all tired. The breakfast is really boring with very limited choices and on loop for 8 days straight. No change no variety. Reception closes at 11 pm every day otherwise if you need something, you'd have to go to Moxy hotel just across the reception door. Theres no separate dust bin in the room. So on a 12 hour work day everyday, you're often in a rush and don't have the time to approach the kitchenette's dust bin that is housed in a drawer. So I'd drop small slips torn down on the floor itself expecting housekeeping would clear them. But they don't do it at all. It's really frustrating. Washrooms are a good square size and very comfortable. I really enjoyed them. The Front Desk number and the Reservations speed dial shortcuts on the Landline phone don't work at all. We would then use the Marriott app to chat with these problems since we were super tired at the end of the day. Each reply comes in 8-10 minutes. Pretty frustrating again. The breakfast servers/team are excellent in their service and do take care of all your requirements. Coffee machine works 24x7 and it's on the house. I found out on the day of my check out that there's a free water vending kiosk on the right side of the reception with cold, sparkling and still water all for free. This blond hair receptionist snubbed me at the day of check in saying that I ask too many questions while I was asking general questions like wifi password, etc etc. I can't believe Marriott team hasn't done anything about it. I was fooled into booking this hotel based on all rosy rosy good reviews here. But I'd rather not stay here ever again. Period. I paid a bomb for 15 nights in total and strictly regret it. Your mileage may vary but please stay away from this hotel until they do a complete overhaul of the staff except Asura. She's a gem don't lose her. The only good thing overall is the location of the hotel,...
Read moreIt's our anniversary but we encountered so many unexpected issues in this hotel this time. Especially I feel ignored by front desk staff yesterday because he was too busy with the chitchatting with another customer. He didn't explain anything about the hotel, our room, check-in & out time or even breakfast. Just arrogantly shush me away as "your card, please" as if I were a kid. Me and my partner are extremely unfamiliar with everything here and nobody told us where to go and how to even get to this hotel through moxy…. I really expected much higher than just this before we decided to celebrate our anniversary in residence inn Frankfurt. The AC was too loud the whole time, the water pressure in shower wasn't even stronger than my urination. We requested two dental kits (basically just toothbrushes and toothpaste) four times at least and we didn't get anything until finally we decided to go to the front desk to beg you guys. Nothing received but the message on Marriott app always showed us "it's all done". The landline in the room never reached out to the front desk. Probably cannot even call anybody if someone had any emergency inside the room there. We humbly begged them to grant us the priority late check out as a loyal Marriott Elite member for many years because we just want to chill a bit since its our anniversary but the front desk just said "we provide you until 1pm". It's our anniversary, and we are Elite member! If the hotel cannot ensure that Elite members can have the last check out at least until 2pm, why we're even keeping this loyalty program? We found several similar experiences here on Google reviews 7 months ago or even earlier. The hotel leader, Ms./Mrs. Anne Drescher constantly attempt to convince people to believe that they'll change, they'll do better in the message response but exactly the same thing happened to me and my partner again. Something wrong with the management of this hotel. One check in & out process could be 10min per guest, just let elite members wait there forever without even fastening the process at all. The employees here either write English messages with countless typos, or just use so-called "casual way" ( actually just simply rude) to call me Ms. Or even sometimes use rhetorical question like "sure, Why not". Never saw such an unprofessional hotel under Marriott...
Read moreFirst time staying at this property. Location wise, it is in the heart of city center with restaurants, shops, supermarkets and almost everything around - super convenient. I can't imagine anyone would fuss about this great location. Marriott has several properties in this very same area within walking distance to each other - Moxy, Residence Inn, JW Marriott and Westin, etc., you can pick and choose whichever one you like base on your budget. The only downside is, this area is constantly filled with locals and tourists, it really gets very crowded pretty much at all time. If you are trying to stay away from tourists (and street noise at night), this may not be the most ideal spot for you.||||Hotel lobby/reception is on the 2nd floor (or Level 1 floor by German standard). Reception is adjacent to the lounge and dining area where you will have breakfast daily. You can also pick up ice and fresh water at the machines right next to reception. A outdoor courtyard is also at this level if you need to step out for fresh air. Check in was fast and easy - my suite was located on the 6th floor. This standard suite was a bit smaller compared with other Residence Inns I stayed at other German cities but it is still set up comfortably - everything is tidy and functional. Considering this is Frankfurt city center, having a nice space as such is probably considered a premium so it is absolutely fine. Breakfast is included in the price and food spreadout is quite nice but it does get very crowded in the morning so you should either go there very early or a bit later, 7:30-9:00am daily is like a zoo in the breakfast zone.||||Overall, I am happy with my choice of RI Frankfurt City Center this time. As mentioned above, this area has high volume of foot traffic from locals and tourists. It is exciting to be in the city center but meanwhile, you do have to deal with the nuisance of crowd, noise and higher price of everything for being in the heart of city center. Good to keep that in mind. I will consider coming back to this property if I am not required to travel heavily on trains, otherwise I will likely stick to my usual hotel choice right next to Frankfurt...
