We had a lovely evening in this wonderful and cozy restaurant. I recommend a reservation in the second seatin, as otherwise you have to leave already after two hours and are forced to down the excellent wine. The service is excellent. They can tell you all about the food and wine and help you decide if you are overwhelmed with all the lovely options of interesting choices to be found on the exquisite seasonal menu. The food was great. Especially the starters. They even have non-alcoholic drinks. Both of our main courses were unfortunately lukewarm and my mussels had no white wine broth at all, which I think is classic. I'm only so strict because of the price. A restaurant that you can always go to for special occasions!

Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, das Bistro Carmagnole an einem Donnerstagabend zu besuchen, ohne vorher eine Tischreservierung vorgenommen zu haben. Ich war angenehm überrascht, dass es überhaupt keine Probleme gab, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Schon allein das spricht für die großartige Gastfreundschaft und den hervorragenden Service, den das Bistro bietet. Der Service war außergewöhnlich. Das Personal war aufmerksam, freundlich und hat sich wirklich darum gekümmert, dass unser Abend im Bistro Carmagnole unvergesslich wird. Von der Begrüßung bis zur Verabschiedung fühlten wir uns sehr gut umsorgt. Nun zum Essen - einfach fantastisch! Die Vorspeise, das Melonen Gazpacho, war ein absoluter Höhepunkt. Die Kombination aus süßer Wassermelone und den erfrischenden Aromen war einfach perfekt. Es war eine wunderbare Einführung in das kulinarische Erlebnis, das uns im Bistro Carmagnole erwartete. Auch unser Hauptgericht enttäuschte nicht. Es war köstlich zubereitet, wunderbar präsentiert und die Geschmackskombinationen waren einfach umwerfend. Jeder Bissen war ein Genuss für die Sinne. Das Bistro Carmagnole hat definitiv bewiesen, dass es eine ausgezeichnete Auswahl an Gerichten von hoher Qualität bietet. Alles in allem hatte ich einen wundervollen Abend im Bistro Carmagnole. Die Kombination aus freundlichem Service, exquisitem Essen und der angenehmen Atmosphäre hat mich überzeugt. Ich freue mich bereits darauf, wiederzukommen und weitere kulinarische Entdeckungen zu machen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Had a wonderful night over there.

We arrived at 20:50 and had a reservation at 21:00. Our table was still occupied so we were received at the bar and ordered a cocktail. While it was made, our table was made ready and we were taken there.

The cocktails were great and the bread, artichokes and olives were too. My girlfriend had steak tartar as a main course and I had the flank steak. They were great, but the portions were a bit too large for our stomages.

The service was incredibly well. We were helped by a greek girl, probably the kindest and best waitress we had ever had. We had a nice little conversation and she gave us some great tips for the rest of our stay.

I would recommend everyone to go there. The food is very good, the atmosphere great and the service...

I made a reservation for my partner's birthday and was really looking forward to finally trying this place out. The mains were okay as well as the bottle of wine we ordered, but everything else was a huge let down. I ordered a rather tasteless, tiny and pricey Aperitif, as well as the toughest artichoke I've ever encountered as starters. They were nice enough to bring a second artichoke, but they were just too far out of season. Service is kind of abysmal or non-existent. We wanted to order dessert but were told that the kitchen had already closed without any forewarning. When paying €60+ per person I expect at least a modicum of attention but the staff seem totally indifferent to the overall experience. The food and drinks aren't really good enough to...

I would really like to like this restaurant more, but the average food doesn't justify the high prices. The prices on the menu on the website aren't up to date, so we were shocked when we sat down and saw the actual prices. 5€ for a tiny portion of olives. 12€ per glass of 2cl non-vintage wine. Whaaaaat? The fish soup starter was very tasty, but 14€? C'mon, we are not in Paris, people. In the end we ended up ordering less and sharing dishes, and it still cost over 100€ before the tip. For dinner in the Schanze.

Better to spend a few Euros more and go to a fantastic restaurant like Anna Sgroi, where the food is to die for, the wines are superlative, and you can have a conversation without having to listen to your neighbour's loud...
