This is the second time I visit this place, so that is a good sign, here are my Pros and Cons. Pros: Good service, they have improved in past couple of months Staff is friendly, helpful and service is fast, 5 Stars for service No frozen meat, the meat was fresh but they didn't asked me if I wanted it medium, well, or anything. Though the meat was properly cooked and juicy, the patty is around one and a half fingers thick. The bun is just right in sice and taste My BBC burger sauce was very good and my partners traditional burger was also tasty. Order the sweet potato fries, they are very good, way better than the traditional fries. With your menu you get to choose a dressing, the wasabi mayo was very good, homemade ketchup! Homemade ketchup is a big plus
Cons: You pay 9€ or more depending on the burger you order and that does not include fries, I would say it is expensive and the burger is not that big. If you want fries you have to order it as a menu and add 5€ The menu includes a coleslaw salad, which the portion is ridiculously small, you eat it in two bites, but, I order the one with peanuts my partner the traditional one, and both were tasty The traditional fries are a little bit of a disappointment they could be cutted a little bit bigger and the portion was not that big, and they lacked salt or any seasoning No ketchup or mayo at the table you have to order it separately The avocado sauce was missing salt and lime, it was just mushed avocado
Neutral: Deserts change constantly, and they are around 5€ my chocolate pudding was nice, desserts are fresh and homemade, that is good! On the opposite if you are latte that day you might go home without desert (in case you wanted one)
Conclusion: Overall the quality of the food is good, well made and fresh, favorable presentation. Our food arrived to the table quick even though we were a table of 6 and our extra order of sweet potato chips that we ordered late arrived super fast! Downside, I don't like to have to order my fries separately and the portion of the coleslaw was ridiculously small. Burger as menu plus a drink and desert you will be...
Read moreGrilly Idol really delivered for me. Hungover on a Sunday I needed something wholesome and I stepped into the restaurant without any expectation due to my previous state of intoxication. I was immediately greeted with a welcoming and warm atmosphere, interior rich with wood and open spaces. A rustic look with a womb-like coziness made me feel at home. 80s tunes rounding up my Sunday needs. The waitress was incredibly friendly and forthcoming and was with our needs in no time. The order swiftly arrived at our table within ten minutes, presented on old-school 50s dishes, teaming with color and wealthy smells. My Cheeseburger owned its title and gifted me a hefty patty, perfectly melted Irish cheddar, a hearty portion of grilled onion and a mouth watering sauce. The patty was grilled to a perfect medium-rare: juicy and flavourful it nested in between the toppings, not fighting with its neighbouring flavours, but complementing the entire ensemble that made up this brilliant burger. The fries were crispy yet soft and ample, the homemade sauce only catalysing the greatness of the experience.

Read moreTo the waitress who asked if I needed her to explain the German tipping system to me when I paid less than 10% tip: I’ve travelled to 25 countries and I pay for the service I receive. Do you realise the loss in revenue you are costing the company by not even coming to the table and asking if we want any more drinks or anything else? It’s easy to see an empty glass and simply enquire if we need anything. Also, don’t take 20 minutes after clearing the plates to come back and ask if we want any dessert or coffee. Don’t just do your duty, be a host and I will gladly pay you 15% tip. The restaurant tries to make up for the lack of flavour in the meat by covering with elaborate toppings and the chips taste like they have been re-cooked from yesterday’s left overs. The building itself is nice with a great garden / outdoor space at the back, which is why I have...
