Singh Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Hamburg

I went to this Resturant today. We went out to eat and as we were searching Indian resturant we found this one. We went inside and saw on the menu there are lot of dishes we ordered Kashmir pulao, chicken biryani, butter naan, chicken tikka, and Nimbupani were among the dishes we ordered. Even snacks and sweets are available.

I went to this eatery today based on the reviews on Google. We went out for lunch. Kashmir pulao, chicken biryani, butter naan, chicken tikka, and Nimbupani were on the menu. The food tasted okay. The food at the restaurant was excellent. I enjoy the restaurant's entrance as well as the style of the tables. In other words, the restaurant as a whole is fantastic, including the decor, statuary, and so on. The staff is also helpful and polite. Also appropriate for children. Toddlers chairs are also available. Fresh seafood, Meat, and veggies are served. There are also vegetarian options. It takes bit time to serve food but its ok because they serve fresh cook food.

The restaurant is situated close to the Hamburg main station, although the walk to the restaurant goes through a rather shady part of the town.

Restaurant itself serves decent food, however if you are used to authentic Indian taste of cuisine you might find it difficult to like the food served here, atleast the ones we ordered we artificially spiced up that we didn’t like much. Naans were great across the board.

Another issue reflecting this 2-star rating was their costly and extremely iced up bad drinks. 80% of most drinks were ice and weren’t really tasty, not worth ordering drinks here.

The service was hit and miss as well, even though the food was served quickly, one of the female server was quite liberal in terms of unwanted comments on behaviour of people from our nationality, especially on which nations name they are running the restaurant. Quite uncalled for generalizing people. Since we were traveling, we might not revisit the place but I won’t...

I’d actually been here once before about 2 years ago but couldn’t remember what I thought of it (probably not a good sign, but hey, we wanted Indian food and were in the area…). So we decided to try it again. This time I will definitely not forgot and will most likely not be returning. For starters, they didn’t do a great job cleaning the tables and I had to point out there was stuff on the placemat from a prior customer and request a new one, and then point out that he should reclean the table underneath the old placement. Then it took ages to order. The service was incredibly slow, and perhaps I would have been more understanding but it wasn’t overly friendly either. They didn’t even give you popodums like most Indian restaurants do, which might have helped if they were running behind or low on staff. Anyway, the food eventually came and it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing either. Next time I’m in town I’ll check out one of the other well-rated Indian...
