I like everything here. What makes it absolutely stand out is the very pleasant smell of their own roaster roasting coffee beans. How the coffee beans slowly move in the vintage looking machine is mesmerising. I could watch it for an hour while inhaling that extremely pleasant smell. The cappuccino really excels in terms of temperature and taste profile especially the balance between coffee and milk. Oh and the foam consistency…definitely much better than mine at home. The perfect air bubbles generated in the milk foam. A sensation between cream and foam. The cheesecake is amazing, tastes creamy and natural, and feels good in the stomach. Music is great too. Real quality music that fits the atmosphere extremely well—reminds me of the style of the vintage phonograph black disc. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who is willing to take the time to answer all my questions about different coffee beans. Easy payment with Apple Pay. Very clean and well maintained toilet that reflects how an owner treats their business. I have marked this place on Google map with a heart, something I rarely ever do. Obviously this will be my go-to place when visiting...

Fünf Jahre lang habe ich hier meinen Kaffee für zuhause gekauft - immer die gleiche Sorte, immer direkt dort mahlen lassen, immer für Handfilter. Diesmal schmeckte er völlig anders und gar nicht lecker - ein Stich, etwas Scharfes, etwas Verbranntes, besser kann ich es nicht ausdrücken. Also ging ich ein paar Tage später mit der geöffneten Packung wieder hin, um bescheid zu sagen. Kann ja mal passieren, dass eine Charge einen Fehler hat. Völlig baff machte mich die Reaktion des Inhabers, der mich schon lange als Kundin kennt. Er meinte, das sei ein Naturprodukt, da gäbe es halt Schwankungen. Auf meine Erwiderung hin, der Kaffee habe aber fünf Jahre lang gut geschmeckt und sei nun ganz, ganz anders, kamen verschiedene Einwände von ihm: Wahrscheinlich habe ich die Packung schon länger zuhause liegen gehabt - was ich nicht hatte. Eigentlich wäre das eh nicht so ein toller Kaffee, der Kolumbia sei viel leckerer etc. etc. Er bot mir an, mit meinem mitgebrachten Kaffee einen Cappuccino für mich zu machen - aber was bringt mir das, wenn er mir schon zuhause nicht geschmeckt hat? Ich hatte tatsächlich erwartet, er würde sich für den Hinweis bedanken und den Kaffee umtauschen, von mir aus auch in eine kleinere Packung. Aber nein, er zuckte mit den Schultern und schickte mich mit meiner angefangenen Packung wieder weg. Schade. So wurde aus einem freundlichen Hinweis ein peinliches Erlebnis. Ich denke noch drüber nach, ob ich den Laden wieder betreten werde, aber gerade fühlt es sich...

The cappuccino was good but not impressive. The cheesecake with raspberry wasn’t that good, the base was off and had nothing to do with the base of a real cheesecake. The filling of the cake was with gelatine and was unpleasant.
