Bar Centrale — Restaurant in Heidelberg

Horrible service. We were a group of eight international scientists and were told that we had to wait for a bigger table before we could order food. While we were waiting other groups took the liberty to put together several smaller tables and the waiter didn't seem to mind although before he had scolded us for trying the same. When finally a bigger table freed up, a couple snatched it away from us. When the waiter told them we had been waiting for that table, the couple refused to leave. The waiter told us there was nothing he could do but since we had already waited for 30 min, the waiter agreed to take our orders at the small table. After waiting for 45 minutes for my burger, I had to leave hungry and upset. Many people who had ordered after us had been served their burgers in the meantime. It's simply ridiculous to arrive at a restaurant at 12 o'clock and not have any food on the table by 14 o'clock. Will certainly not...

A nice cosy bar restaurant , with tables outside. Inside is also very modern decorated but the tables are little bit small. If it is full it is not very comfortable to eat inside ,cause there are people standing directly in front of you. The people working there are all very lovely and always with a smile. Last time we had a beer and a Hugo. Hugo was more sweet than it supposed to be, but that wasn't the problem. The prices are the problem! Everything is really expensive! Place and location are nice. Food and drink menu are contemporary. Unfortunately it is totally overpriced. Quality/price in complete mismatch. Fries are coming from an airfryer - those are no fries but long oven potatoes! Sandwiches are ok too, but attention to more detail and taste would be needed to justify the prices. 9,80€ for a sandwich made from two slices of convenience toast bread one slice of Avocado and some dry chicken is just not appropriate.
