If this review looks too long, scroll to the bottom for the TLDR.

Location: It's an excellent location for a restaurant. If you drive, I would suggest the parking lot at Willy-Brandt-Platz. You may also take the bus to Fruchthallstraße or Burstraße. Or take the train to the Hauptbahnhof and walk. Easiest way is to use whatever mode of transportation you take to go to Primark or the Altstadt. If you only go to this area during the night to get drunk, you might have passed this a few time already.

Great interior. Feels put together with thought but not forced. The little swings and benches are cool. There's a ground floor and first/second floor. During warm and not raining days they have tables outside. Plenty of seats and tables.

Service: Service was prompt and excellent. For my American friends who haven't learned Deutsch, most, if not all, servers speak English, too. Although the menus are in Deutsch, if you have Google Translate, then this shouldn't be too big of a problem. Just open the app, pick English to German, click the camera icon next to the handwriting icon, click then follow instructions. There was no problem at all when my group paid separately.

Food: I've been here three times and have never been disappointed with the food. I feel that this is more of a knife and fork burger place but feel free to pick it up. The only reason I used the knife and fork on all three occasions was that the burgers I ordered had a sunny side up egg(spiegelei) in them and that would have been really messy. The first time I ordered a burger with no egg but I was hungover haha. I highly recommend the Eugenie. A couple of friends liked the Maximillian from the low-carb section. Just a note, the low carb has no bun but it has a bit of a hash brown on the bottom, at least on the Ludwig burger.

Please try the truffle mayo. It is really, really good. As for the fries, you have an option for regular pommes or sweet potato.

Drinks: They have a good selection of detox water, lemonades, and teas, as well as the usual staples of beer, wine, water, soda, etc.

I've had the kiwi mango lemonade and ginger yuzu lemonades. Both were really tasty. No complaints. It comes in a small bottle and usually garnished with a sprig of mint and/or a slice of lime. I like to tear up some of the mint leaves and put them in the drink.

Bathroom: They're upstairs and very clean. The toilet bowl areas are a little small, not a dealbreaker at all but if you are a big and tall person, you might have to do a bit of twisting around. The sinks are a great design and I liked how the faucet works by pressing a button, reduces overuse of water.

Location is the #1 thing Sissi Franz in kaiserslautern has going for it. This is a unplanned review and so sorry but no pictures to upload. The place looks good and has a focused menu of burgers primarily, veggie and vegan also. I ordered their big boi, the Karl Der Grosse. I don't eat the buns anymore so, I clarified first if they can make mine to be like the skinny burgers (they have suggested burgers with no buns wrapped in lettuce) She said no problem. Also at the table was an order of chicken fries, i hope that the chef didn't intend on them tasting as if they had no chicken and the primary taste was the overbearing thinned out peanut butter, its called peanut sauce in the description. Peanut butter with cheese over fries, like I said, I hope whoever dreamt this up didn't intend on the delivered results. Additionally they only delivered 1 order of fries with 1 burger, dropped the 2nd order for some reason, that happens sometimes. IF YOU GOT THIS FAR, then you're here for the only motivating reason I wrote this review while still at the table. If you cannot satisfy a customer request, then apologize and offer me a compromise or alternative. I have now eaten my first burger in my life with a fork and knife. I am not a hipster, I am a Gen X wanna be hippy with modern-day technology. maybe if I was a hipster accustomed to the modern Day shining people on and fake smiling, i might have said it was great and creative. Creative it was, but not great. If you have to go bunless for health reasons, you still deserve the dignity of a lettuce wrapped burger that you can eat with your dignity intact, with the burger in your hands. 100% would have ordered a burger they can wrap if she said no, that would have saved me €2-€3 also. My waiterss just clarified that they do this regularly, they will happily pile the burger you selected on a plate without a lettuce wrap and still call it a burger. If that's your thing and you have a man bun or you're attracted to guys who do, then maybe this place is for you. Its not for me, too bad. Good luck, and to Alina or anyone else at S&F, dont apologies for your service, I chose to try your place out 1 time and I did. I learned enough on the first visit, lets just...

The parking situation here is none, the location of this restaurant has no parking around at all as the street is a pedestrian street, you may be able to find parking lots and some street parking, however do not be intimidated by the parking lots as the parking here is super cheap. also I would say, try to avoid tickets as it is a bit complicated to get them paid.

The restaurant is super cute and they also have outside sitting.

They have staff that speaks very good English as well! and they take cards, so it is pretty perfect to eat here.

The decor is so cute and the desserts look real good and so do the drinks and shakes.

They had a good deal for a full meal with burger, fries and drinks, you would choose the burger fries and drinks and they would give a discount based on the price of the items, I know it is a very weird kind of deal but it did end up being a cheaper deal.

EUGENE BURGER- I LOVE this burger as it has all things I enjoy the most! the egg, the brioche bun and the truffle mayo made my life! and the burger tasted pretty good too!

TRUFFLE FRIES- these fries were very nice, I would say that by the time the burger came I was a bit too full but at the same time I did enjoy the truffle flavour and the other things that came with the fries, also the potatoes here in this country do taste a lot better than in state side.

MELON MINT - this is a pretty refreshing little drink. I really liked the presentation and the taste for sure.

Overall we had a great meal and we had a great time here. this restaurant was worth the...

This is my second time here. I been to a few other places for burgers in the area but, this place has the best burgers in town. Not only is the burger juicy but it also has a lot of flavors mixed in. If you come here I recommend the Big Karl Burger. It’s the biggest on the menu and it is delicious. I previously had an avocado burger and it was great too but I am sure no matter what you get it will be delicious. As you see in the pictures the food looks, smells and taste amazing. For the drinks you can have beer, wine long drinks or aperitifs. I had a Pina Colada which was made very well and went well with the food. I also had the Truffle Mayo Fries with Arugula. This was so yummy and added to the burger. The chilly cheese fries were also great but not as good as the Truffle fries. The only complaint was the price was expensive for the burgers. The fries were alright priced for the style but the burgers were too much. I’ve had burgers for 9-12 Euros that matched the taste and style of the burger. Overall this was a great restaurant with great burgers and really nice staff. I definitely Will return and I do recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner.
