Pad Thai Lübeck — Restaurant in Lübeck

At first sight it looked nice and inviting and the menu looked good. After sitting down to order, I went to the WC to wash my hands. The basement (where the WC is) and the the toilettes themselves were disgusting and smelled awful - this is where I started to suspect. We waited quite a long time for our order to arrive at the table, which was eventually not what we asked for and arrived without our drinks as well and without the starter that we asked for. Another while after that, and my girlfriend got the soup she ordered - only with chicken instead of Tofu. I had to go inside and ask one of the owners to replace it, and she was having a really hard time realizing that we indeed ordered the soup with tofu and not chicken. Then, when everything we ordered was finally on the table, we were very disappointed by the quality and on top of everything, the freshness of the food. We both had tofu in our dishes, which tasted very sour and bad. Some of the veggies were going brown and weren't suitable for human...

Just ended up there by accident, were surprised how awesome it was. Rice was perfectly well cooked (not too slushy not too crisp), had a cocos soup with scampi for starters. Very natural flavoury fresh taste. Then ordered - boring as a German does - chicken sweet sour. Even his surprised with nice colouring, all natural flavour, nice serving size and presentation with some salad. Speaking of decor, interior is nicely equipped with some Thai statues and gimmicks. Given the limited space inside and that usual "toko-takeaways" don´t pay attention to these details, this finalized the very good...

Heute zusammen mit meinen Dad ohne Reservierung und ganz spontan zu PadThai. Der erste Eindruck war leider nicht sehr gut. Die Tische befinden sich in einem kleinen Hinterraum. Dort sind 4 Tische (3x für 2 Personen und ein Tisch für 4 Personen). Die Räumlichkeiten wirkten etwas schmuddelig. Die Tische sowie die einlaminierten Karten waren etwas klebrig. Ich bereitete mich auf das schlimmste vor!

Wir bestellten zwei Gerichte. Ein Gericht aus der Mittagskarte und eines aus der regulären Karte. Bei der Bestellung wurde mein Vater gefragt, welche Vorspeise er haben möchte. Er lehnte diese ab. Bei den Gerichten aus der Mitagskarte ist wohl eine Vorspeise inklusive was uns erst später klar wurde...

Die Portion aus der regulären Karte war deutlich größer und der Reis würde separat geliefert. Das Gericht aus der Mittagskarte war auf einem kleineren Teller auf dem auch bereits der Reis lag.

Das Essen war geschmacklich wirklich gut. Mein Gericht war mit frischem Koreaner garniert. Eigentlich hatte es laut Karte (Thai-) Basilikum sein sollten - aber es hat trotzdem sehr gut geschmeckt!

Könnte man hier den Geschmack des Essens separat bewerten, würde ich hier das Essen alleine 4 Sterne geben!

Wenn ich das richtig gesehen habe, gibt es hier übrigens keine...
