An Nam - Leipzig — Restaurant in Leipzig

I have been reading the reviews in here and I chose to visit An Nam, because it was rated above average.

The price was low, so I though that maybe the quality would be average, and I was okay with that.

Service was fast, precise and polite and the atmosphere was okay. So far so good, but in my reviews, these factors are secondary to the food, which off course is the main attraction when one has to chose a place to eat.

We are a family of five people, teen kids, we are used to eating and making Vietnamese style food, we like to travel for food and we had three weeks in Vietnam last year.

We tried the pho bo, pho bo tran, the bun cha, baked spring rolls and one chicken noodle dish, and five different shakes.

Shakes were alright, especially the banana pineapple.

The food itself was simple and lacked one thing in particular: fresh herbs. To us, these are an essential part of the vietnamese kitchen. My best guess is that An Nam has adapted too much to the German food culture. Hopefully they will bring back some more flavour in the future.

This, in my opinion, is definitely one of, if not, the best Vietnamese cuisine restaurant in town and quite affordable at that. The staggering variety of dishes does in no way influence the quality of a given dish, which is rarely the case in my experience. Each dish (I've had till now) offers an exciting palette, carefully assembled from simple, yet harmoniously paired ingredients. They sure know how to turn even the simplest dish into something enticing. Freshness is omnipresent, and however heavy a certain kind of dish may seem, the heaviness will be balanced by a light, rich garnish. One can also tell that the ingredients used are always of first-rate quality. The servings visually are quite a sight, as well. The menu offers a wide array of beverages, most of which are home-made, and of superb quality at that. All in all, a true gem for connoisseurs of Vietnamese cuisine and a delightful place to enjoy a wholesome...

Das An Nam ist ein hervorragendes vietnamesisches Restaurant in Leipzig, das ich nur wärmstens empfehlen kann. Ich war hier vor kurzem zum ersten Mal und ich muss sagen, dass ich sehr beeindruckt war von der Qualität des Essens, dem freundlichen Service und den erschwinglichen Preisen.

Zunächst einmal muss ich betonen, wie authentisch das Essen hier ist. Ich habe in vielen vietnamesischen Restaurants gegessen, aber das Essen hier war wirklich das Beste, das ich je hatte. Alles, von den Vorspeisen bis hin zu den Hauptgerichten, war perfekt zubereitet und voller Geschmack. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die verschiedenen Pho-Suppen, die wirklich unglaublich waren.

Was die Preise betrifft, so war ich wirklich überrascht, wie günstig das Essen hier ist. Die Portionen sind großzügig und die Preise sind wirklich fair. Wenn man bedenkt, wie hochwertig das Essen hier ist, ist es wirklich erstaunlich, wie erschwinglich es ist.

Aber es ist nicht nur das Essen, das An Nam so großartig macht. Die Bedienung war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass das Personal wirklich daran interessiert war, dass ich eine großartige Erfahrung hatte, und das hat mir das Gefühl gegeben, dass ich hier wirklich willkommen bin.

Ich möchte auch noch kurz die Atmosphäre des Restaurants erwähnen. Es ist wirklich schön gestaltet und hat eine warme und einladende Atmosphäre. Es ist der perfekte Ort, um sich mit Freunden oder Familie zu treffen und ein gutes Essen zu genießen.

Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass das An Nam ein fantastisches vietnamesisches Restaurant in Leipzig ist, das ich jedem empfehlen würde. Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker und authentisch, die Preise sind erschwinglich, das Personal ist freundlich und die Atmosphäre ist großartig.
