Italiano Sardinia — Restaurant in Leipzig

We were walking around the city and I really wanted to drink quality coffee and when I saw an Italian restaurant I immediately went there. There were three of us and when we came in, we were offered to sit at a large table that stood under a spotlight. We first sat down at it, but realized that we were uncomfortable and moved to a small table under a canopy in the shade. we went there for 10 minutes to drink coffee. We didn’t bother anyone by occupying a small table, since there were only two tables occupied on the terrace. When the waiter returned with the menu, he saw that we had moved seats. I said that we didn’t need a menu, since we came to drink quality Italian coffee. in response we were told that «this is a restaurant» and they do not serve drinks without ordering food🙂🙂🙂 I heard this for the first time in my life. The location right next to St Nikolai Kirche is good generally but unfortunately it was blocked by construction when I went. I thought this was the reason I was the only customer there but then I tasted the food. Even though they did not need to rush to make the food, they delivered it to me within 5 minutes and I ordered penne with lachs ina rosé cream sauce! Unfortunately, it tasted like it was made in five minutes. There was almost no flavor somehow in the rosé cream sauce. Also der eine Stern steht nur deswegen da, weil man nicht weniger vergeben kann. Die Location ist soweit echt hübsch gemacht. Leider roch es am Treppenaufgang, zur zweiten Etage, nach Toilette, was einen schon etwas den Appetit nimmt. Zur Aufnahme der Bestellung, war das Personal noch recht freundlich, was sich leider änderte, als Kritik am Essen genannt wurde. Die Portionen waren sehr klein und dafür echt sehr überteuert. Ich hatte den gegrillten Lachs. Der Lachs war extrem trocken. Die Zitrone war auch nicht mehr so frisch. Das Gemüse war Tiefkühlgemüse. Es sieht weder schön aus, noch ist es appetitlich, wenn man vom Brokkoli quasi nur den Strunk, auf dem Teller liegen hat. Einzig die Rosmarinkartoffeln waren lecker, auch wenn es nur sehr wenige Stücke waren. Leider kam dann auch kein Kellner mehr um evtl nochmal Getränke zu bestellen, um zb den trockenen Lachs runterzubringen. Das Essen war auch nur lauwarm, was auch für den Preis, völlig inakzeptabel ist. Da von mehreren Personen am Tisch, negative Kritik am Essen geäußert wurde, kam auch kein Kellner, um uns abzukassieren. Wir sind dann runter zur Kasse gegangen und haben dort in Schlange angestanden um zu bezahlen. Zudem durften wir uns noch böse Blicke vom Personal einfangen, was auch kein tolles Bild für die anderen Gäste gemacht hat. Also alles in allem ist das Restaurant Nicht zu empfehlen. Gerade in einer Stadt, wo viel Konkurrenz da ist, sollte man schon sein Bestes geben um Kundschaft zu gewinnen...
