Radisson Blu Hotel Leipzig — Hotel in Leipzig

Location is excellent, very convenient parking behind - albeit 24€ is hardly cheap. Reception staff is so-so, at check-in we got very young man, who while being very nice, didn't seem efficient or experienced. We reserved room with king size bed, but got two beds, roughly pushed together. We were promised that will change, but despite few reminders, it never did. Room was spacious and comfortable, but there is one thing which is a bit unusual - open bathroom, with only glass between room and shower. It might be OK most of the time, but if you e.g. sharing room with work colleague - could be a bit awkward. No kettle in the room, fridge was turned off and empty. In general the service is disappointing, cleaning staff regularly missed some spots, soap was not replenished as it should, dirty glasses left in the room, trash can not emptied. Hotel is located on a great location. Parking is expensive €24 a day. There is a public charging station in front of the hotel. €0.70/kW. The breakfast is very good, lots of choices and product are fresh. Review is based on room 714, comfortable beds. Sheets make the room very dark which is good. Free water available. Refrigerator which cools your products to a really low temperature. temperature in the room is hard to control, in February it was 21.7 and could not get it down with the strange unit (no airco). When using WiFi you need to re-connect each time you did not use your equipment for a few minutes which is irritating. Toilet is very low (I’m young but for elder people it can be a problem). The rain shower head was leaking. There is a master light switch missing next to the bed. Rooms are very clean and you can make your own free Lavazza coffee. We stayed for 3 nights. Location one stop on tram from station. Breakfast which we had was beyond good, it had everything you could imagine. The robots were very entertaining. However: The decor is very tired. The towels had seen better days, and despite me raising this issue and told house keeping had been contacted I heard nothing. Even when towels were changed quality was poor. The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were impossible to use in the shower, unfortunately did not find this out until using them. However when reported to reception they clearly knew about it but did not say so at check in. Considering the cost and how Raddison rates itself I would expect better.
