Kümmel Apotheke — Restaurant in Leipzig

I ate a late lunch here before running in the Leipzer Nachtlauf 10K. Nothing was appropriate as prerace food -- basically everything was greasy, covered in cheese, smothered in cream sauce, etc. The Michelin guide says that you can order a "light meal" here, but I don't think that is the case. For inside a mall, pretty good quality, but the price point was way over what the dish actually was. Schnitzel and Kartoffelsalat and one soda, over 20 euros. Could not believe the small size of the schnitzel. The fruit topping was tasty, and the schnitzel itself was tasty too but the portion size for the price means I cannot recommend this place. Whenever I visit Leipzig, I go to this cafe at least once for lunch or dinner. They always have unique delicious food. The menu is always new and I never get bored. I can tell that the chef is very energetic, curious person. This time, I had spaghetti with Thai curry sauce and my friend had pancake with chicken rague, cheese sauce. Both were so delicious!!
