Update Came back for lunch with my parents, and dined in. Here, I tried 'die Legende' Burger, which was amazing. Felt like I had an entire dinner crammed between two buns. My mother loved her Trüffelfee Burger, and my father loved his Huttenfreunde as well. The mehrkorn buns seem to be the tastiest option, for Burger buns.
Unlike my previous takeout experience, the fries and onion rings we ordered were cooked to perfection - very hot and Crispy, but not greasy at all. The cheese sauce was ok, but the truffle cream was amazing for dipping. Our drinks, peter's passion, were also fantastic. Updating my score from four to five stars for the wonderful lunch experience... But only if you get a table and eat in.

The 'Trüffelfee' Burger I ordered tasted fantastic - doubly so because I took advantage of the Monday vegetarian promotion, which reduced the price, in combination with the discount for ordering takeaway online. Got an excellent vegan burger for an excellent price. I highly recommend taking advantage of the meatless Monday deal.
The NiceTea was also very tasty. I tried the Mango-lemongrass one, and it was good. Not super sweet, but still with good flavour.
Sadly I'm removing a star for the fries. They were cold and soggy, despite picking them up within a few minutes of the scheduled time - they'd obviously been sitting out for a while and were not recommendable. If you're ordering take-out, just get the burger and grab a soda from aldi or something. They're not worth the expense, buying a Burger 'menu'.
Service for the pick up was very slow. The place seems exceptionally busy, so even if you order ahead, you'll still be waiting a while for the staff to get to you.

The guy who looked like he ran the place was friendly but inattentive. After showing me a seat and a menu (with a run through of what was where)I made my choice but waited a good 15 minutes to have my order taken even though I sent pretty clear visual cues. (seems bringing plants in from outside was a higher priority). When I asked the waitress to take my order she looked at me and said 'I don't know if the kitchen is still open'. Surely if I'd been seated with a menu it wasn't just to offer my advice on the decor.
Then I was told I should pay straight away before getting any food as they wanted to clear up. Heaven forbid I make them late home by sticking to annoying tradition and paying at the end.
The burger (cheese and bacon with upgrade to 'Black Angus' burger) was pretty uninteresting... no real taste to speak of.... small bits of thin bacon, thin burger and some gooey cheese sauce. For 9.60 plus 2 or so Euros extra for the burger upgrade I was looking forward to a lovely juicy thing... anticlimax. Pretty small portion of chips too.
Not pleasantries on the way out... no thank you or auf wiedersehen. I did get a cloud of staff cigarette smoke as I exited though.....
So... nice decor, good atmosphere, poor service, poor food, poor value for money. Such a shame.... keep on walking to better places a short...
Read moreWow that was a unique experience. The food was ok, nothing special but the staff is a completely different story. It is another level of service and I lived in Vienna. I believe that there were about 5 people working there when we were there - but no one worked there. It seems that they created a very long line outside while the restaurant was practically empty. They avoided eye contact as much as possible with the waiting customers and the only way to get any type of attention from them was to get up from the chair and go to them. It was really a unique experience. Thank you for that, you had showed me new standards for a staff that just really really really don't want to be at work. and you did it all together. amazing, truley.
