Binh Minh Restaurant — Restaurant in Munich

Let’s just start with saying I don’t ever like to leave a 1 star review but this place unfortunately doesn’t deserve any tourist’s business - EVER! After we sat down and ordered we noticed on the menu card they had a cross through all cards - we asked if they take any credit cards and they said “cash only” which would be a smarter thing to have in big bold letters at the door, as what restaurant in 2023 globally doesn’t accept credit cards! There was an atm 300m up the road, so I went and tried to get cash, but unfortunately after trying 2 successive cash machines, neither accepted our international bank cards. I went back to my partner in the restaurant and they were already starting to deliver food (it couldn’t have been freshly prepared as I was gone less than 5 mins! )

After explaining that it was impossible to pay with cash and the restaurant owner raising his voice and being completely disrespectful to us, a fellow customer offered to help us by giving us their cash and we repaid them through PayPal immediately!

The fact that the restaurant made no effort to solve the problem, but a stranger who was embarrassed that tourists were being treated so badly in their county helped out shows this restaurant is not somewhere tourists should go.

Also, being used to eating really good Vietnamese, the flavours here where dull and the food was very average quality indeed.

Le gérant m'amène le mauvais plat Je lui demande gentiment de remplacer la viande dans mon Green curry par du tofu (plat que j'ai commandé au début) et de me servir la même assiette telle quelle. Je ne voulais pas le mettre mal à l'aise. Il me soutient que j'ai bien commandé de la viande. Il finit par me remplacer la viande par du tofu Il me facture le plat le plus cher (avec la viande) en me disant que j'aurais du payer double (les deux plat puisqu'il a du jeter la viande) Nous payons pour ne pas faire d'histoire Il ne nous rend pas la monnaie. Et fait mine de ne rien nous devoir. Je décide d'insister et de lui demander la monnaie. Il me rend moins que ce qu'il me doit J'insiste une fois de plus, et il finit par me rendre la monnaie.

Au delà de ça, j'ai eu beau lui dire que son plat était bon (répété plusieurs fois pour dissiper le malentendu). Ce gérant à été désagréable du début à la fin du repas. Il nous a retiré les assietes avant que l'on ai fini car : il était l'heure de fermer. Nous lui demandons (très) gentimentent un dessert pour deux à emporter. Il refuse tout simplement de nous servir : il ferme dans 5 min.

Bref, si vous voulez mangez dans un restaurant glauque avec un patron malhonnete : cet endroit est parfait pour vous.

Der Manager bringt mir das falsche Gericht Ich bitte ihn, das Fleisch in meinem grünen Curry durch Tofu (Gericht, das ich zu Beginn bestellt habe) zu ersetzen und den gleichen Teller zu verwenden, wie er ist. Ich wollte ihn nicht unwohl fühlen lassen. Er behauptet, ich hätte Fleisch bestellt. Am Ende ersetzt er das Fleisch durch Tofu Er berechnet mir das teuerste Gericht (mit dem Fleisch) und sagt mir, dass ich das Doppelte hätte bezahlen sollen (beide Gerichte, da er das Fleisch werfen musste) Wir zahlen, um kein Aufhebens zu machen Er gibt uns kein Wechselgeld. Und gibt vor, uns nichts zu schulden. Ich entscheide mich, darauf zu bestehen und ihn um die Änderung zu bitten. Er gibt mir weniger zurück, als er mir schuldet Ich bestehe noch einmal darauf und er gibt mir am Ende das Wechselgeld.

Darüber hinaus habe ich ihm vielleicht gesagt, dass sein Gericht gut war (mehrmals wiederholt, um das Missverständnis zu zerstreuen). Dieser Manager war von Anfang bis Ende der Mahlzeit unhöflich. Er hat uns die Teller weggenommen, bevor wir fertig waren, denn es war Zeit zu schließen. Wir bitten ihn (sehr) freundlich um ein Dessert für zwei zum Mitnehmen. Er weigert sich einfach, uns zu dienen: Er schließt in 5 Minuten.

Kurz gesagt, wenn Sie in einem gruseligen Restaurant mit einem unehrlichen Chef essen möchten: Dieser Ort ist perfekt für Sie.

Ich hoffe, dass Sie uns in diesem Kommentar wiedererkennen, denn es ist das letzte Mal, dass Sie von uns sprechen hören.

I have visited this mom and pops restaurant twice so far, 2021 and 2023. The food has and still tasted flavorful.

Working in Germany made me miss authentic Vietnamese food and it is hard to find an authentic place, especially a place that offers a good spice level that can be added by the complementary chili oil on the table.

The Pho and Spring rolls here is authentic northern style Vietnamese cuisine and the nice lady in the front is very attentive to customers, especially to the tastes of Southerner Vietnamese people in which after her finding out that I’m a Southern Viet, altered the Pho dish to suite my taste without even asking (making it a tad bit sweeter). I personally appreciated her selfless care for her costumers.

Additionally, the sweet sour Peking Soup is also a good appetizer on a cold day.

I prefer using card to pay for stuff when I’m traveling abroad and hate to pull out cash, however I have no problem taking out some cash for this place that reminds me a piece of home when I’m thousands...
