I am not someone who is inclined to leave negative reviews when I'm not thrilled with a place, but felt I had to this time. The service at this place is terrible. We stood there for nearly 10 minutes as the first in line. Even though there were at least 3 empty tables, the staff didn't even look at us. Once we were eventually seated, the food came reasonably quickly and looked okay, though the portions seemed small for the price.
Unfortunately as I went to cut my sandwich, I dropped my plate, resulting in my sandwich on the floor and clothes covered in egg. Even though it happened right in front of two staff members, neither came over to offer assistance. I tried to clean myself and the floor as much as possible with a napkin and then walked over to a staff member to explain what happened, apologize and ask if I could try to clean my clothes a bit somewhere. Zero compassion or friendliness on their part, I was directed to the toilet in the rudest of manners. There, they turned out to have run out of paper towels, so I had to ask for new ones (which can happen of course). There was one kind staff member there who brought some, and told me that they would clean things at the table. This never happened, however. Eventually one staff member approached. I thought they would finally ask if everything was ok and ask if I wanted a new sandwich. Turned out they wanted us to pay our bill already because they had a staff shift coming up (no idea why that would mean we'd have to pay already, but okay). When I explained that I had not been able to eat anything because I unfortunately dropped my sandwich the moment I went to cut it, she asked if that was their fault (well gee, if you really want to know, the tiny, shaky, unstable tables that are crammed together could have something to do with it - but why does that even matter?). Again, not even a "sorry that happened." If I wanted to, I could order a new one, but only if I paid for it. The latter was not even the issue for me (although in almost every place, one would be offered a new one free of charge), but after being treated rudely for half an hour I did not feel like giving them even more of my money, so decided to leave.
Really: tired, overworked and underpaid luggage belt staff members at the crappiest, overcrowded, sweltering hot airports in the world offer better customer service than this (and those people have good reason to be angry). Do yourself a favor and avoid this place...
Read moreVery lively and trendy Restaurant/Cafe with a huge menu serving all-day breakfast, brunch and dinner. It’s usually very crowded but yet cozy. I came on a Sunday at 1pm for brunch and waiting time was just under 15 min.
I was curious to try a new vegan dish called HEUTE VEGAN DELUX with Tofu scramble, small açaí bowl and banana bread. It was a very large portion for 13.90€. Adding a delicious , large decaf cappuccino, small fresh orange juice and water, it came up to 25€. I’ve also been for dinner and quality vs. price is really good.
Here comes my detailed review, hoping it will serve you in making your decision:
✅ Large breakfast menu with lots of vegetarian and quite a few vegan choices (tofu scramble, açaí bowl, fruit salad, birchner Müsli) ✅ Pretty large indoor seating area (+ terrace) with long bench for large groups, or to share ✅ They serve All-day breakfast 🥰 ✅ Very nice and attentive service (thanks Xenia) always with a smile ✅ Wifi ✅ Very diverse Menu with focus on organic and regionally sourced ingredients. You‘ll always find something ✅ Early bird opening hours: 8am daily
↗️ As it tends to be extremely busy (especially on weekends), the noise level is very high. If you’re more sensitive or prefer a more quiet place to eat, you may avoid peak times (Tip: noise canceling ear plugs are useful) ↗️ Very small restroom with almost no space to move ↗️ Drinks and food served at the same time. Personally, I like to enjoy my drink first and then eat ↗️ They don’t take reservations on weekends ↗️ The tofu scramble of the HEUTE VEGAN DELUX was quite bland and contained a lot of roasted almonds and walnuts. Personally, I would prefer it with less or no nuts and instead more veggies or more veggies. The Tofu was super hot, be careful or doesn’t burn your mouth. Hummus could be enhanced with more spice. The açaí bowl was Good i would like a more pure açaí taste instead of tasting mainly berries (Sadly, it will not make it onto my top açaí bowl eateries in Munich) For quality and taste, I give the food 3.8 of 5 stars.
Overall I very much like Cotidiano and I suggest you also try out their location...
Read moreOne of the best restaurants I've eaten in for a long time. It wasn't just food, but a unique culinary experience. I had the privilege of taking an extraordinary sensory journey into the heart of contemporary gastronomy, and it was an unforgettable experience. Cotidiano made me rediscover the art of cooking in a way that I thought was impossible.
From the moment you walk through the doors of this culinary sanctuary, the atmosphere envelops you in a warm embrace, blending classic elegance with modernity that immediately announces that this place is much more than just a restaurant.
Each dish is a masterfully orchestrated symphony, a balance between tradition and innovation, where local and seasonal ingredients play the leading role. Each bite was an invitation to explore new flavours, a poem on a plate.
But "The true gem of 'Cotidiano' lies in its dedicated staff, whose warm and friendly demeanor adds a genuine sense of hospitality to the dining experience. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were met with smiles and a heartfelt welcome. The waitstaff's eagerness to accommodate our requests and provide recommendations was evident, enhancing our overall enjoyment. It's clear that the team at 'Cotidiano' genuinely cares about their patrons' satisfaction, and their commitment to delivering a memorable dining experience is commendable."
