Ad | If you’re planning to come to Munich and not necessarily do what every tourist does, save this post.🥰 . First of all, I recommend you sleep at Mercure Hotel City Center, for example, because here you are right at the train station and can take the S-Bahn to wherever you want. In addition, @mercurehotels work on the local conditions in terms of products and style. So we had a room that was decorated with great details to a gin brand. Breakfast was killer, with pretzels, weisswurst, and a great selection of toppings and bread. The staff are accommodating and super sweet. So I can really recommend it. 🫶🏽Now for the spots: 🥨Visit the English Garden (start from the Eisbach wave and just follow the paths to the Monopteros, here you have a great view to the city. At the lake you can feed the birds and let your soul dangle. 🥨 go in the evening for a drink with cool people in the Glockenbachviertel. Here we had chosen the bar Curtain Falls 🥨 marvel at the BMW cars from new to old, as well as great changing exhibitions in the BMW World and the BMW Museum 🥨 climb the bell tower ‚Alter Peter‘ to get the best view over the city 🥨 learn more about the Munich way of life and go on the journey of beer in the beer museum 🥨 enjoy a delicious Schnitzel at ‚Atzinger‘ and an ice cream like Alice in Wonderland at the ‚crazy ice cream maker 🥨 buy delicious products at the Viktualienmarkt or let yourself be drawn into the atmosphere 🥨 follow the history of toys in the toy museum (reopened in March) 🥨 you want to immerse yourself in an authentic quarter of Munich? Then take a look at the French Quarter. Well, how many spots did you already know?☺️ . . . #DiscoverLocal @mercurehotels #visitmunich #münchenliebe #münchencity #münchenstagram #munichgermany

If you like beer and want to learn something about the history of brewing the delicious gold drink, which has been written out over centuries in Germany and especially in the region of Bayern 🇩🇪🍺 (Bavaria), then you definitely need to pay a visit in this museum. It's a renovated 4 floor building, where on the 3 floors there've been collected & presented interesting stuff related to the brewing of beer. And on the lowest floor there's a nice small traditional restaurant, where after a fine time spent in the museum, you can eventually have a taste of this great gold drink 🍻 ! 😊👌🏻 Regarding the tickets, there's no need to buy itin advance, since there's a ticket machine at the entrance to the museum. Card payments are possible. I did the museum tour on my own, but there's also a possibility to book a guided tour with a nice local Bavarian style dressed guide, who will tell some fascinating things about the brewing and Oktoberfest.

Being students, we paid €2.5 per person. That is next to nothing, but I still don't recommend this place especially if it means that you have to change your route or if you have limited time in the city. Couple of old mugs, some brass taps with no explanatory text whatsoever, and some paintings... Some of the information over the displays didn't even have an English translation. It was a big letdown. You can have a beer at the downstairs pub and we did that. Just have a beer & skip the museum if it's on your way. Oh, the wifi is staff-only btw :)

Best if you can read German. Interesting memorabilia and old artifacts from beer-making history and Oktoberfest. The summary signs for each room do have English translations, but not for each item. (I tried using the Google Translate tool with camera, but only had Edge cell connection which wasn’t enough.) Took about a half hour to go through, but also only cost 4 Euro. No beer included, but does end in a little stub’n that serves beer if you want to buy a drink afterwards.
