freebird, bar and food — Restaurant in Munich

Freebird is a super nice and friendly bar! The vibe was cozy, the service great, and the day I visited there was a house party that made the evening even more enjoyable. My friends and I had so much fun just hanging out with beers and nice music. Very nice little place. It’s like a bar rather than a restaurant. There is a long table facing the street with stools front of the bar and some lounge seats on the other side. The atmosphere is awesome, the staff are very nice and friendly, the food is amazing. I tried the pastrami sandwich, which was delicious, it’s really NY deli style. Leider enttäuschend – hat Potenzial, aber in der aktuellen Form keine Empfehlung

Wir hatten uns auf das Frühstück gefreut – ansprechend präsentiert auf Instagram und mit einem Betreiber, dessen früheres Lokal wir sehr geschätzt haben.

Umso größer war die Enttäuschung: Der Auftritt auf Social Media gleicht leider nicht der Realität: Kleine Portionen (Pastrami 16€, 2 Spiegeleier mit Brot - wovon ein Spiegelei missglückt ist 8€), lieblos angerichtet, und dafür deutlich zu teuer. Für ca. 30 - 35 € pro Person erwartet man ein sättigendes, rundes Frühstückserlebnis – das war hier leider nicht gegeben.

Noch schwerer wog der Service: Als einziger Tisch im Lokal wurden wir von einem sichtlich schlecht gelaunten Kellner bedient, der sogar die Augen verdrehte und lautstark schimpfte. Professionalität sieht anders aus.

Die Atmosphäre wirkt eher wie eine Bar – stylisch, aber weder bequem noch passend zum Frühstückskonzept.
