My highlight: TASTY burgers 🍔 And I mean it! I often encounter burger places where a piece of lettuce has more taste than the actual burger. However, this one is a flavorful explosion! They even put Kurkuma in their bread to make it yellow! Yum! One of the best things: You can have any burger with beef, veggie or falafel paddy - so you don’t have to sacrifice your favorite combo! 🥰I had the Sweet Home Avocado with Veggie Patty. Fabulous! Somebody on our table just commented that the Falafel paddy was a bit dry - so I recommend staying with the veggie version in case you don’t eat meat. And the rest of the ingredients had been very fresh and plenty! You will be full - even if you are a big eater!
Also we had the Pommes mix - mashup of chips and sweet potato fries. I am not very convinced. The normal fries didn’t taste much and the texture was quite dry. The sweet potato had a good taste but the texture was sluggish. All in all those fries were lacking taste and the “being natural” look and feel. Seemed more like the deep frozen version of fries 🍟 but I don’t wanna say that they had been deep frozen. Just nothing special. Next time I will opt for a salad or coleslaw which looked much tastier!
I had a homemade ice tea (Peach flavored). Very nice - rich in taste and refreshing! Can highly recommend it!
All in all an outstanding place for eating burgers (and salads - let’s find out next time). Just don’t invest in the fries, they are not worth your money.
I’m addition, the location is nice and rather quiet so a good place to get away from the busy Munich crowds. The staff is very friendly. Small side remark: today they had been super slow in taking the order, delivering and having us paying the bill. Not sure if they always take so much time but if this is the case make sure you come with enough time to spare....
Read moreKing Loui, an American burger place with bohemian-style decor, exudes a unique and inviting atmosphere. The creativity and attention to detail in the decor and style make it a truly enjoyable dining spot. What sets this place apart are the exotic burgers with cool and quirky names, like the "My Heart will Goat On," which showcases goat cheese and is playfully named after a popular song. The menu is filled with bold and innovative burger ideas, and the overall quality of the food is commendable.
I had the pleasure of trying a burger that included pineapples, and I must say, it was a delightful surprise. The combination of flavors worked harmoniously, and the taste was exceptional. It's evident that King Loui isn't afraid to experiment with new and exciting ingredients to create one-of-a-kind burgers.
The only downside to the experience was the location of the restaurant, which is very close to a busy street. The noise from the traffic somewhat took away from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere.
While the burgers were outstanding, the wings, unfortunately, arrived cold. This was a bit disappointing, as it impacted the overall enjoyment of the dish. Nevertheless, the drinks offered were top-notch and come highly recommended.
On the service front, I must admit that it was a bit slow. However, the staff were friendly and accommodating, which helped make up for the wait. Expect to pay some money if you want to have a proper...
Read moreAlthough I the food was good, I'm rating as a 3 because of other factors, detailed below. The hamburger was quite tasty, although the combination of ingredients was my quite standard. The prices on the menu didn't match the prices that were charged. I decided not to complain, as I understand that might have updated them but they should warn people upfront of the difference.
In terms of price, extras are overpriced. The price for the normal hamburger doesn't include fries. If you ask for the special meat (which I did) you pay extra 4 euros on top of the normal hamburger price (which in my opinion is not justified). The ingredients are quite basic and don't just charging so much. Although the patty was quite tasty, I'm not sure I would do it again. For a burger (with special meat patty), fries and lemonade, I paid around 30€, which in my opinion is overpriced for what I got.
So although the food was tasty, the fact that prices didn't match the menu and they seem to be overpriced, made me rate it...
