Caffè Ristretto — Restaurant in Munich

I have had the pleasure to visit Caffé Ristretto several times during my last year in Munich.

Once you walk in, it is like entering in a small café in Italy. The owners Salvatore and Vincenzo are wonderful hosts and know how to make you feel at home (after a couple of visits, I did not even had to order anymore because Salvatore knew already what I was going to order). You never feel like "just one more customer" but, rather, like a member of a family.

I have stayed several times for lunch too. The menù is short (which, in my opinion, is a good thing) but every dish is prepared using fresh ingredients (ask if there are some "extras" available not listed in the menù). The recipes are simple (again, a good thing) but very tasty, and Vincenzo prepares every dish with a lot of care and in an authentic Italian way.

Wonderful cafe with fresh pastries and a great staff. It's small and cozy. Our server was one of the friendliest people I met in Munich. Sehr atmosphärisch! Hier kann man leicht versumpfen, wenn man nicht aufpasst 😂 Tolles Vitello Tonnato mit hervorragendem frischem Brot und exzellenter Weinbegleitung! Abgeschlossen mit einem perfekt zubereiteten Espresso. Und alles serviert von einem absolut liebenswerten, interessierten und aufmerksamen Besitzer! Salvatore umsorgt einen so warm und herzlich, dass man hier - ähnlich einem Kind, das gerade von der Mama ins Bett eingekuschelt wird - seelig ins "dolce far niente" gleitet... Gemütlich draußen sitzen, Sonne genießen und ein Glas nach dem anderen bestellen, während man zufrieden in die Gegend grinst - und das funktioniert ganz wunderbar auch ohne Begleitung.
