L'Osteria München Schwanthalerstraße — Restaurant in Munich

A couple of days ago we went to the l'osteria for my brother's birthday. The restaurant is beautiful and really huge. The food is good and has the same quality as in the other venues across Munich. What really disappointed me and our group was the service. Our waiter came to take our order when one of his colleagues came up to him to hug and greet him. They had a little chat and we were sitting there ready to order as he also had started the conversation with us. We were super confused. We did not get any bread nor were salt or pepper placed at our table. My husband had ordered bruschetta as a started which was served with the main course. When we said we did not want it anymore there was no apology no nothing from the waitress. It just went on and on and on. We were not asked if we wanted more drinks nor if we enjoyed our food. When our waiter cleared the table we were sitting with empty glasses trying to grab his attention as we wanted to pay. We had to wait for over 20 minutes until we saw our waiter again as all the others kept saying :"we will inform your waiter.". All in all very very disappointing, also because we had a special event. We also did not have a feeling that there was a Supervisor on shift as everyone was running around like headless chicken. Next time I will go to another l'osteria venue and not come back to the one as...

I visited this restaurant on the 29th of September. We were a table of 5 people, with a reservation. The service of the waitress who served us was highly unprofessional. When we were paying our bill, I paid with card and decided not to leave any tip, as I didn't think the service was good enough. The waitress got mad with us for not leaving her any money. She literally said and I cite her : "What is wrong with all of you spanish people who don't leave any tip????. It's incredible. It's not a judgment, just my opinion about your culture". Thank you for your opinion, we did not ask for it. The service needs to understand that this is a professional interaction, between an employee and a client. It is my right, my choice, to leave a tip or not. You are not going to decide for me. Your internal thoughts do not matter to me, so please keep them to you. An e-mail has been sent to the restaurant with all the details, if they decide to take any action, which I don't think they will.

Everything was perfect, expecially the gentleman at the entrance was extremely kind and profesional, the pizza was good and the and the evening was perfect, until it came time to pay the bill.

We were served by a blonde waitress and she was already quite pushy with the oders asking way too many times if everything was alright while we were eating (at which we asked for some oil, that never came), the real disappointment came at the time when we had to pay the bill, when she asked for a tip I said no, and her mood totally changed, and became extremely rude with all of us, throwing the recipts on the table in a very disrespectful way and even tossed the pos on the table like we were animals.

I've never had such an unpleasant experience with a waitress, and it was a real turn over for coming again during dinner time. Still, will probably come again for a nice pizza to take at...
