The star of our order, undoubtedly, was the pancakes. Thick yet incredibly light and fluffy, they were a revelation for pancake enthusiasts like myself. The Japanese method of preparation truly worked its magic, resulting in a delightful texture that left me craving for more. What impressed me the most was how I didn't feel weighed down after indulging in these delectable treats. It was a pleasant surprise to enjoy such a satisfying meal without the usual heaviness.
To complement my pancake feast, I ordered a cup of coffee. I'm happy to report that it exceeded my expectations. The coffee had a acceptable rich, robust flavor that was perfectly balanced, ensuring I didn't experience the disappointment of a watery brew. The aromatic blend further enhanced my dining experience and paired wonderfully with the exquisite pancakes.
The staff at the cafe exhibited acceptable behavior throughout my visit. While they were not overly enthusiastic or overly attentive, they were courteous and efficient in their service. Given the demand for their signature pancakes, it's understandable that they were focused on ensuring a timely and enjoyable experience for all customers.
One thing to note is that the pancakes require approximately 20 minutes to prepare. However, this is completely understandable given the unique way they are made. Waiting for the pancakes only heightened my anticipation, and the end result was definitely worth it. The cafe's commitment to quality and authenticity shines through in every bite.
In conclusion, if you have a penchant for pancakes, this cafe is an absolute must-visit. The Japanese-style pancakes they serve are a revelation, with their thick yet fluffy texture that won't leave you feeling heavy. The coffee is equally impressive, with a robust flavor that will satisfy any coffee lover. While the wait for the pancakes can be a tad longer than usual, the end result is well worth it. So, indulge in this fluffy delight and treat yourself to a truly memorable...
Read moreWhat can I say? I queued for only a few minutes when it became apparent that we would be stuck in the freezing cold for at least an hour waiting for people to be served and for the long queue to shorten. I don't really care how good the place is supposed to be, I'm never going to queue for food. For me it had the feeling of a soup kitchen, where the homeless eagerly await their next meal.
Personally, I don't like to go to busy cafes or restaurants with a zero booking policy, where hungry eyes are peering from the outside watching you eat, and willing you to hurry up, I find that a terrible experience. It would take this place zero effort to jot down names and tell people to return at a different time, rather than have them standing around outside like fools. But if your idea of a good time is to stand outside places looking like a human marketing tooI, then this is definitely the place for you. I myself would recommend finding somewhere that values its customers and doesn't think that a great dining experience is standing for hours in the cold waiting to be seated.
Edit post Business Response: If you would like me to demonstrate to you how to use a booking system, I can easily do this, but only if you can afford my charge rates. I'm sure that people reading your responses to genuine complaints will find them an interesting read. Already two people have found my...
Read moreWe went there yesterday as we heard about the place and wanted to try it finally. Unfortunately it did not match our expectations at all.
The service isn’t unfriendly but not really proactive. We were standing in front of the entrance and haven’t been asked if we need spots or they can help anyhow. This has already been perceived as not very welcoming. We waited approximately 15min for the menu while on other tables people were trying to get attention to pay. The waiting time for the drinks was about 5min while the pancakes took about 15-20min. The pancakes smelled and tasted extremely like eggs which for us made it impossible to eat. The cream and fruits (but very little!) served with it were fresh but the amount of maple syrup very poor. We got both belly aches after the pancakes and were hungry one hour after consuming them as they basically consist of “air”. The price is definitely not justified. It’s extremely expensive for what you get. The restrooms were so so clean. The garbage bin was exploding. Overall conclusion: I would not recommend dining in there. I’d rather prepare pancakes at home next time.
What I do not understand is that the former reviews that are marked with one star mention the price, uncoordinated service and the extreme smell of eggs. The owners react to them but do not seem to change anything about it which personally...
