Restaurant Bahalo — Restaurant in Munich

Place seemed okish but unfortunately it was not.

We ordered gyros and were told it will take some time for the rotisserie to heat up, which was fine by us. After some time they came back to tell us it will take a little bit longer still, at least they kept us updated.

But then all of a sudden the owner came to tell us the gyros rotisserie was broken and we needed to pick something else from the menu. When we said we did not want that and we would go somewhere else all of a sudden we could get the gyros…

When the food finally arrives the only positive thing was that the tzatziki tasted fine, the rest was dripping with oil. Especially the salad was one oily mess (see picture) and the salad it self also looked like it was way over due.

We felt rather intimidated by the big “scary” telling to each other personal that we did not really feel comfortable to complain but overall it was a big no no and I would not...

The owners of the restaurant won’t stop parking their cars in front of the apartment building next door even after requesting that they stop. There is a huge sign on the door that says it’s illegal and provides us with the right to have the car removed at the car owners expense.

This behavior shows complete disrespect for their neighbors.

Additionally their visitors are extremely loud into late hours of the night (work days as well) or even in the day shouting around at the top of their lungs.

It would be very appreciated by your neighbors if you could please follow other restaurants examples and:

1. ensure quiet hours after 10pm
2. stop parking your cars in front of apartment doors making it dangerous, challenging, and annoying to come home

Highly recommend—easily the best Greek food I’ve ever had! They started off by very kindly moving a couple guests to put two patio tables together for our large group. Then someone brought ice for my husband’s knee that recently had surgery. The server was so patient in taking the order of our large group (we speak English and had lots of questions about the German menu). We had the pita gyros and the meat was fresh, juicy, hot, with slightly crispy edges. (They are also huge and for 6.5 €—5€ if it’s to go—a great deal for a very filling sandwich.) PERFECTION!
