Sadly, my experience wasn't great. In my dining experience, there was a lot of chaos. The waiter didn't have the right attitude and he seems exhausted and wornout. I got my mango lassi almost after 30 mins after ordering. Most of the dishes I wanted weren't available, so had to change my order twice and the waiter wasnt already aware about the availability of dishes while taking our order. The kitchen made a lot of mistakes in our order. I received my starter almost after an hour or so which was mediocre and basically a different product than expected. I had to wait almost 1.5 hours for Hyderabadi dum biryani. When we were served the biryani, the consistency was completely off. It didn't seem like dum technique was used and it was evident that rice with chicken , the spices ( khada masala )seemed undercooked and biryani was not cooked together with the white rice layer visible on top. The quality seems quite less for the price and worst of all it was inedible and salty. We had spent almost 2 hours and decided to leave and takeaway our food that was left to serve and asked for a replacement for the biryani. Also there was a crowd around the billing counter, they had overpriced a customer and I was waiting for some time eager to just pay and leave. Overall it was a huge fiasco for me.
Review of dishes I ordered:-
Maharashtrian style Chicken sukka with bone - This will be my recommended dish for the restaurant. It had great smokey flavor of the coconut and was quite authentic.
Bhindi masala - I found it not oily and with good masala but sadly it turned sweet for a German and me. No one is asking to make it spicy but the caramelized onions turned out to be too sweet in the dish.
Gajar Halwa - Somehow the consistency was quite off. I felt like it needed a little more cooking time. It was evident that there was too much ghee in it as it separated itself from the halwa. Sadly the halwa didn't last the 2nd day in the fridge as it had gone completely bad which I dont understand why.
Chicken 65 - I received a red chicken chilli with green onions. There rings of onion on top as decoration. That was the worst presentation I've ever seen in a restaurant. The reason was chicken 65 is different from chicken chili is because of the use of yogurt, rice flour, curry leaves which I tasted none of it.
Hyderabadi chicken dum biryani - This is the review of the dish which they fixed and I took as takeaway. The chicken was nice and succulent and I found the biryani fragrant rice to be average. It is a good dish to try in the restaurant but wont say its the best they serve.
Maharashtrian Prawns curry - The quantity of prawns seemed quite less for its cost. The gravy was good and authentic.
People in the restaurant can cook good dishes but the dishes lack consistency in their quality and seem quite unorganized. The staff seems untrained for restaurant business and hospitality, the owners are friendly but that cant cover the hospitality cracks. I have heard from many people and my dining and delivery experience gave me the same impression that the restaurant lacks punctuality and takes way more time than promised for delivering food on the table and at home with their own delivery service. Inconsistent quality and late deliveries is something that no customer appreciates. Just a tip if you guys are serious about the...
Read moreI recently ordered take-away food from Swaad restaurant and had a delightful experience. The restaurant offers a diverse range of Indian cuisine, and the flavorsome dishes I ordered were "Paneer Kadai," "Veg. Biryani," and "Veg. Samosa."
Firstly, the Paneer Kadai was a true highlight. The dish consisted of succulent chunks of paneer (cottage cheese) cooked in a rich and aromatic tomato-based gravy, with a perfect blend of spices. The paneer was incredibly soft and melted in my mouth, while the flavors of the kadai masala were well-balanced and provided a delightful tanginess. It paired wonderfully with the accompanying naan bread, enhancing the overall experience.
Next, the Veg. Biryani was a true delight. The fragrant basmati rice was perfectly cooked and generously infused with aromatic spices. The biryani was packed with a variety of fresh vegetables, including carrots, peas, and beans, providing a delightful combination of flavors and textures. Each bite was a burst of taste, and the dish was accompanied by a refreshing raita (yogurt-based side dish), which complemented the spiciness of the biryani perfectly.
Finally, the Veg. Samosas were a delicious addition to my meal. These triangular pastries were filled with a flavorful mixture of spiced potatoes and peas. The outer crust was crispy and light, and the filling was well-seasoned and packed with authentic Indian flavors. The samosas were served with a tangy tamarind chutney, which added a sweet and sour element to the overall taste.
The quality of the food from Swaad was exceptional. Each dish was made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection, showcasing the skill and expertise of the chefs. The portion sizes were generous, and the packaging ensured that the food remained hot and fresh during transportation.
The ordering process was smooth, and the staff at Swaad were friendly and helpful. They ensured that my order was accurate and promptly prepared. The overall service was efficient and professional.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Swaad for anyone looking to enjoy authentic and flavorsome Indian cuisine. The Paneer Kadai, Veg. Biryani, and Veg. Samosas were all outstanding in taste and quality. Whether dining in or opting for take-away, Swaad is a fantastic choice for a satisfying and...
