Our first time having Uighur food and it was delicious. We had dapanji, noodles with chives and lamb and stir friend green beans and all were excellent (albeit a bit oily).
Sadly the poor service was a huge drawback. The bald man in his 40s was the perfect example of how not to treat your customers. He gave us the menu but when the time came to take the order he was impatient (despite there only being one other occupied table that he had already served) and appeared annoyed that we didn’t know that they were only serving noodles and did not have any of the dumplings, mantu or other dishes available then. How were we supposed to know beforehand if he didn’t tell us and it’s not stated anywhere on the menu? It is obvious from our language and appearance that we are tourists. All in all he was really brash but fortunately another older man who served us was much nicer and gentle. If he is an employee how can his attitude like this be allowed by his employer, and if he is the owner then he is just too arrogant to be in the food and beverage industry. It really is a shame that his attitude was so poor as the food was lovely… however this is not the only Uiyghur restaurant in this part of Germany so we are happy to bring our...
Read moreI went to the other Uyghur that is in Hauptbahnhof and I must say that one is miles ahead in terms of service, food and behavior.
The food was so so. We ordered noodles. First of all we were waiting for like an eternity for the waiter to come and take the order from us. We had a couple of children with us who were tired after a long day and cried once or twice which seemed to bother them very much. Also, the person who took the order from us often came near our table (not asking anything) but gave strange looks. This might be due to us talking a bit loudly. We would have appreciated it if he told us directly instead of giving some strange looks.
The food was so and so. Nothing extraordinary. The quantity was good.
I am not going back again there because as a customer you can feel when you are not welcome to a place. To me, the service and hospitality of the personnel is equally important as the food on the table which they...
Read moreUmmmm wow. This family makes the most authentic delicious Uyghur food outside of China ever. Hands-down the most flavourful spiced food in Munich I have ever tried in this city (and we've been to many various enthnic Asian restaurants around town). But this one is by far the only that stays true to its origins. From the outside you'd think it's just another Turkish Imbiss...but then you walk to the back and see Chinese families happily slurping giant bowls of the infamous hand-pulled noodles + skewers of tender lamb. The waitress was so friendly and lovely I forgot I was in Germany;) We are SO excited to discover this place! Will be coming back here over...
