Let’s start with the positive: contrary to what we read in other reviews, our waiter was very courteous. Despite the place being absolutely packed, he was calm, friendly, and attentive. The restaurant’s interior is quite cute, currently featuring some fun Christmas decorations.
The not-so-great: We reserved via OpenTable and were informed that the restaurant only has a 5 minute grace period for late arrival, so we did our very best to be on time, hurrying through Munich‘s evening rush hour. When we arrived, our table wasn‘t even ready yet. No big deal, it happens – but perhaps one might want to consider extending the grace period by a smidge if reservation times are being overrun anyway.
We were eventually seated at the table by the window and next to the door. Even though the waiter closed the little curtain to shield us from the door, we got a draft of freezing cold air every time someone opened it, which happened incessantly. Delivery drivers arrived every couple of minutes, people asking to be seated nearly constantly. Not exactly comfortable.
I am celiac, so I heavily rely on the allergen declaration on the menu as well as the knowledge and diligence of staff in order to be able to safely eat at a restaurant. I will preface this by saying that it‘s partly my fault for simply relying on the allergen declaration and not double-checking with the waiter. I ordered a sushi roll to share with my partner as a starter. No gluten listed on the menu. When the roll came out, it was smothered in teriyaki sauce. Soy sauce and, consequently, teriyaki contains gluten. I know it‘s annoying to have to declare each and every allergen, but it‘s a regulation for a reason. It‘s important to be properly informed about those things and to declare them accurately – people could get quite sick, as I did after eating the main dish, which seems to have been...
Read morePff, wish I had read the recent comments before. Can confirm the unfriendly service. Although we reserved a table we got the place next to the toilets, whilst the couple next to us got two tables. When we asked if we can switch, the waitress brushed us off rudly, although the table next to us was not reserved. Next the waiter spilled half of the soup on the table and after he "cleaned" the table, it was still dripping on all sides. We should have left this point. After our main course we both felt sick the whole evening. We will never set foot in this...
Read moreThe sushi is nothing special at all. So normal that does not worth it to take a picture. The place looks good but the individual tables are too close, and it is very annoying to listen all the time the conversation of the people sitting next to you. The attention of the waiter was not bad, although I missed a littke bit of interest from his side to explain the disses. Honestly, there is nothing on this restaurant that will make me come back. It's not expensive not cheaper either. As an average you can spend...
