La Casa de Kebab — Restaurant in Munich

A very tasty kebab ruined by an expeditious and stressful service. We came to La Casa de Kebab by reading excellent reviews about the good quality but also the friendly and helpful service.

The overall atmosphere was worrisome from the start as we were rushed to order as soon as we arrived at the place. We could not speak German so tried English instead and the person behind the counter could barely speak it.

My girlfriend could not have the sauce she wanted in her durum. Service was almost too fast (“pay and get out” feeling) that it went from bad to horrible when the other bald guy came to serve the durum and almost threw it in my girlfriend’s face. We paid €21 for 2 durums, one with vegetables (€9.5) and one with halloumi (€10) which is already quite expensive for a kebab, even in Munich.

I admit we should have mentioned it earlier about the price but only the first colleague was there (bald guy left to go outside) and was busy with other customers, so we ate our food. I asked for the itemised receipt after the meal for proof and the two guys pretended we had ordered 2 durums with vegetables with halloumi as extra in one (which anyway makes €19 + €1.5 = €20.5 and not €21) - except one of the durums didn’t have vegetables at all!

We could not get the right receipt nor our money back and this ruined our experience sadly. We felt disrespected and misunderstood, including the very pressing and stressful order process. I would not recommend this place despite...

I ate falafel wrap with everything easy on chili. The combination of the sauces is sublime. Right amount of sweetness and sourness with hint of mint and other herbs and spices. Added to the well balanced lettuces makes it one delicious bite. I like that Felafel is not refried before wrapping. Just room temperature. I would like it better if I could taste more chick pea. It is a bit starchy. The wrap skin is near perfect and is thinner side. I gave 5 star because I really enjoyed La Casa de Kebab wrap. However it is not the best. The service was very friendly. They do look for fast turnaround. All in all, the food is good. If you are a big fan of extra meat, it s the right place. If you are looking for a balance between sauce, veggies and meat with special flavour… you should keep exploring. Most of the reviews are from tourists, who are finding the price tag and food amount as 5 star. I was not surprise to find many tourists at the place at the time of my visit.
