Espressolab — Restaurant in Nuremberg

The coffee is nice, the quality of the beans and the selection is nice. The espresso machine is top, also you can choose the kind of preparation you prefer which affects the coffee taste; French press, Chemex, etc .Being said that, the prices are crazy high, too high. For those prices you would expect that your coffee comes to your table but, it won’t. I ordered an iced caffe and my partner asked for an americano. In the location there were 2 service girls, one of them (the friendly one) asked my partner if he wanted an americano or an espresso with water, then my partner asked for the difference and to explained the flavor profile. The girl couldn’t answer so she called the 2nd girl who gave a really arrogant explanation (we both have gone to coffee tastings with professional baristas and have been in coffee plantations with coffee producers learning and understanding coffee), not a really good one but mainly arrogant.

Sorry for the long text but I hope the owners organize service and barista lessons to match their high prices. The place is nice and stylish, the beans are good but the service needs to match with what they ask...

Great coffee and fantastic location. Should be a 5 star rating. Drinking the coffee, it's hard to believe the low overall rating (3.9 today). However, there is no WIFI and you have to go pick up your own coffee. The prices are very high for the area, but I am from Berlin so they are not outrageous to me. I feel that perhaps the owners need to look at an extra staff member as I was there during a pretty busy morning and there were only 2 girls serving and prepping food etc. and no chance of table service. I am guessing these various limiting factors have contributed to the low ratings. Easily fixed (except pricing I presume) so that the prices become better value. Hopefully the owners read these reviews but somehow I doubt they care as it gets busy with these prices and lack of staff. Why change it to avoid poor reviews when they are consistently busy the way it is and changing it will effect the bottom line? A pity. A missed opportunity but good...

I’ve been worked there for 5 days. They didn’t pay for these hours!!! I’ve been waiting for my contract for 3 weeks. And at the end when i said that I’m not gonna work there without my contract - the owner just screamed at me. He said I am worse than every german. ?!?!?!?? Now when i asked to pay for these hours - he is just ignoring me. He was screaming that there is no black work. BUT OBVIOUSLY THERE IS. CAUSE HE DID THAT NOT ONLY TO ME.

So i feel free to tell some secrets :) He doesn’t have special decaf coffee beans. He uses the old shot second time. When i worked there he didn’t even ask me for Gesundheitszeugnis.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO GO THERE AND ESPECIALLY TO WORK THERE cause i saw how he screamed at people there and they told me after that im gonna get used. F*ck...
